Foo Fighters CANCEL Soundside Music Festival performance amid Dave Grohl’s baby bombshell and affair scandal

As a die-hard Foo Fighters fan, I’ve been through thick and thin with Dave Grohl and his band over the years. We’ve danced, we’ve sung along, we’ve headbanged, and we’ve shared countless memories together. So, when I heard about the recent revelations about Grohl’s personal life, it felt like a punch in the gut – not just for me, but for millions of fans worldwide who look up to him as a rock icon and family man.

Due to the ongoing controversy surrounding frontman Dave Grohl’s personal life, including revelations about a past affair and the birth of a child outside of his marriage, The Foo Fighters have decided to cancel an upcoming concert.

55-year-old Grohl left fans in disbelief last week, admitting that he had been unfaithful to his wife, Jordyn Blum, after 21 years together, and has welcomed a newborn daughter with an undisclosed woman.

The band were set to perform for the first time since the scandal broke at the Soundside Music Festival in Bridgeport, Connecticut this weekend – but abruptly pulled out on Thursday.

It’s regrettable that Foo Fighters won’t perform at the Soundside Music Festival this weekend.

On September 10th, Grohl shared a message on social media, announcing the arrival of his new daughter. He also pledged to work towards rebuilding the trust with his wife Blum (age 48) and their three daughters following recent events.

On Tuesday, Grohl shared with his 1.4 million Instagram followers that he’s just welcomed a new baby girl into his life, conceived outside of his marriage. He expressed his intentions to be a caring and nurturing parent for her.

He conveyed that he deeply cherishes his spouse and kids, and is making every effort to win back their trust and seek their pardon. He expressed appreciation for any understanding extended towards all the children concerned, as they navigate this journey ahead unitedly.

Grohl and Blum met in 2001 and have been married since 2003.

The couple share three daughters: Violet, 18; Harper, 15; and Ophelia, 10.

After he publicly revealed that he had a child outside of his marriage, both of his older daughters decided to remove their social media profiles.

In 2007, he confessed to The Guardian about having been unfaithful in his marriage to Jennifer Leigh Youngblood, which was later followed by another admission of marital infidelity.

The two married in 1994 but had separated by 1996, and they divorced the following year. 

In the same interview with The Guardan, Grohl expressed that his wife, Jordyn, and daughter, Violet, serve as stabilizing forces that prevent him from becoming lost.

Speaking to TIME in 2012, he said his family ‘changed everything that I do.’

He added: ‘It’s changed everything that I do. When you have kids, you see life through different eyes. You feel love more deeply and are maybe a little more compassionate. It’s inevitable that that would make its way into your songwriting.’

It’s not widely disclosed about Blum, but it’s been reported that she once graced the cover of Teen magazine, following her discovery at a supermarket when she was only 12 years old.

She was reportedly working as a producer at MTV when she met the frontman.

In 2007, Grohl shared with Elle that he wasn’t prepared for a committed relationship when he initially crossed paths with Blum, and their interactions dwindled following a few outings together.
