Following Daredevil: Born Again’s Season 3 Renewal, New Rumor Claims How The Marvel Series Will Set Up Spider-Man: Brand New Day

As a huge Marvel fan, I’m already counting down the months until the next season of *Daredevil: Born Again* hits Disney+. But the news just keeps getting better! We now know a Season 3 is officially happening, and it sounds like Jon Bernthal will be back as the Punisher in his own series around the same time – so much to look forward to! And now, word on the street is that everything happening in Charlie Cox’s *Daredevil* series will actually lead into the upcoming *Spider-Man: Brand New Day* movie. Seriously, this is a fantastic time to be a Marvel TV and movie devotee!

According to Alex Perez at The Cosmic Circus, the upcoming *Brand New Day* will be set after the events of Season 2 of *Daredevil: Born Again* and the *Punisher* special. This timing aligns with the release schedule, as *Brand New Day* is planned for late July 2026, while *Born Again* and the *Punisher* special are expected to premiere in the spring. Perez then responded to a question about whether there would be any story connections between *Born Again* and *Brand New Day*.

The Kingpin’s control over the city’s laws creates challenges for Spider-Man’s heroic efforts. As for J. Jonah Jameson, while he might agree with some of the Kingpin’s policies, he’s definitely not fooled by his deceptive tactics.

It was already known Jon Bernthal would return as The Punisher in the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day. However, it wasn’t clear if events from Daredevil: Born Again and a planned Punisher special would directly connect to the Spider-Man storyline. According to reports, the ban on vigilantes enacted by Mayor Wilson Fisk in New York City will play a role in the next Spider-Man film.

Given that *Spider-Man: No Way Home* concluded with Peter Parker, now forgotten by the world, returning to New York City to rebuild his life and crimefighting efforts from scratch, it’s logical that Wilson Fisk’s banishment would impact him. However, Vincent D’Onofrio, who plays Fisk, stated in February he wouldn’t return as Kingpin in any upcoming films, and clarified in May that his character is currently limited to television appearances.

We’ll find out if this information is correct when *Spider-Man: Brand New Day* comes out in theaters next year on July 31st. We haven’t gotten release dates yet for Season 2 of *Daredevil: Born Again* or *The Punisher*, but the next Marvel TV show, *Marvel Zombies*, will start streaming on Wednesday, September 24th.
