As a dedicated fan of League of Legends and a follower of Fnatic, I couldn’t help but feel exhilarated after reading the interview with Marek “Humanoid” Brazda, the talented mid laner for Fnatic. The way he spoke about their recent victory against SK Gaming and his upcoming match against G2 was filled with passion and determination.
esports.gg chats with Fnatic’s midlaner Marek “Humanoid” Brazda
I was fortunate enough to have a chat with Marek “Humanoid” Brazda, the talented mid laner from Fnatic, during an esports.gg interview. We delved into various topics, discussing his perspectives on the current meta and even shared some lore lessons with each other.
Fnatic effectively ended SK Gaming’s surprise run in the League of Legends regular season with a decisive 2-0 victory this past weekend. In the interviews following the games, Humanoid from Fnatic shared his excitement for facing G2 Esports next week and admitted that he is not well-versed in the mythology related to LoL.
Humanoid thinks SK might have “wanted to pull a Fnatic”
Marek “Humanoid” Brazda: “I’m really pleased with today’s performance. We all did well, so I’m happy about that. I’m excited for our upcoming match against G2. They haven’t won yet, but it’s likely we’ll face them.”
As a passionate fan, I’ve got to admit that SK surpassed many people’s predictions during the regular season, but unfortunately, they seemed to be at a loss against your team. I’m curious, what elements didn’t gel well for SK in this match?
Based on my extensive experience as a long-time esports enthusiast and observer of professional League of Legends teams, I have noticed that even the best performers can have off days. Today’s match was a clear indication of this for the team in question. Their performance was significantly subpar compared to their usual form during the regular split.
“We’ve had conversations with many professional players expressing their concerns about the game’s instability post-Midseason Update. I’m curious to hear your perspective. Does the volatility others are discussing resonate with you?
As a gamer, I can confidently say that Fearless Draft significantly enhances the viewing experience and adds an extra layer of fun during gameplay. However, I have one major concern: drafting plays a crucial role here, which can be frustrating at times.

Trading meta knowledge for lore trivia
This next question has absolutely nothing to do with pro play. Have you seen Arcane Season 1?
“Yeah, I have.”
If you had the power to decide where the story of Arcane should progress in Seasons 3 and beyond, which region would you pick? Additionally, which champion would you be excited to watch unfold on screen?
As a gamer new to League of Legends, I haven’t delved deep into its story yet. The concept of the Void piques my curiosity; it seems intriguing and full of potential. I can only imagine what it could offer based on limited information. For instance, champion Kai’Sa, with her monster-like abilities, is one character that intrigues me greatly within this mysterious context. Exploring more about the story of Kai’Sa and other champions would be an exciting journey.
It’s you who expresses the desire for the Void for the first time. Perhaps this is the opportunity we’ve been waiting for, to witness a heartwarming encounter between Kassadin and Kai’Sa as father and daughter.
“Wait, what? Kassadin is Kai’Sa’s dad? That’s cool!”
Yeah, Kai’Sa is abducted into the Void as a child and Kassadin goes in after her.
“I had no idea.”
Is there a particular reason you’re excited to face G2, as you mentioned earlier?
It’s always thrilling for us to go up against our most formidable opponents, who have bested us multiple times this year. Currently leading Europe’s top teams, they present an intriguing challenge that I eagerly look forward to overcoming and ending our losing run.
Any words for Fnatic fans cheering you guys on as you head further into playoffs?
I’m thrilled to express my gratitude to all of you. Each day, we’re greeted by countless supporters of Fnatic, making our opponents irrelevant. This uplifting atmosphere truly motivates us.
On Monday, June 22nd, Fnatic will go head-to-head with G2 Esports once more for a chance to secure their spot in the finals during the Summer 2024 split’s first qualifying match.
