Paper Rex won the VALORANT Masters Toronto 2025 championship after beating Fnatic in the final. Now, both teams are facing off in the Champions 2025 semifinals with a lot on the line!
Fnatic came close to winning two major tournaments this season. They reached the grand final of the VALORANT Esports World Cup 2025, but lost to Team Heretics. They also competed in the final of Masters Toronto 2025, where they faced off against Paper Rex.
VALORANT Champions 2025 is heading towards its final match, but first, Fnatic and Paper Rex will have a chance to settle the score. They’re set to compete against each other in the upper semifinal.
This match is a chance for Paper Rex to show they’re the best team. They won the tournament in Toronto, but finished fourth at the VALORANT EWC, where Fnatic defeated them and sent them to the lower bracket. A win against Fnatic now would be a powerful statement.

Breaking through tough matches: Path to the semifinals
FNC and PRX both faced challenges and successes on their way to the VALORANT Champions 2025 semifinals. While they haven’t lost any matches yet, they encountered some very strong opponents.
- Paper Rex confidently defeated XLG Esports to kick off the tournament.
- To qualify for the Playoffs, the team somewhat struggled against underdogs, GIANTX. PRX lost the opening game on Ascent but still won the series.
- In the final brackets, Paper Rex had a rollercoaster of a quarterfinal against G2 Esports. The teams exchanged rounds, periods of domination, and games. PRX were slightly better in the end.

- Fnatic also started the VALORANT Champions 2025 Group Stage with a good win: over Rex Regum Qeon.
- MIBR created some difficulties for FNC — with 13:5 on the first map, Bind. Fnatic recovered after that.
- In the quarterfinal, FNC defeated DRX. Fnatic had to solve some internal issues, like disjointed play, to take that match.

The last matches of VALORANT Champions 2025 will take place from October 3rd to 5th. After that, there will be a pause before the new season begins, which will include teams signing and trading players.
