Florist Quits Weddings Blaming Pushy Brides: A Shocking Confession!
After designing the stunning flower arrangements for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s reception, it would be no surprise if Willow Crossley is basking in the global recognition she has earned.
Instead, the florist for our community has disclosed that she’s choosing to step away from wedding arrangements entirely, and it seems she’s laying the blame at the door of demanding brides.
‘I started out doing quite a lot of weddings and they’re very emotional,’ she explains.
Additionally, when it comes to weddings, one must moderate their ideas slightly and follow the bride’s preferences. It is essential to align with her vision. Consequently, I choose to take on fewer wedding events due to this requirement.
42-year-old Willow, known for her romantic and foraged style that has adorned the most prestigious events ranging from royal gatherings to high-society parties, shares a tale of a fateful encounter: ‘I can still remember sitting with a bride and groom, and this man expressed, “I’m not sure why you’re here. I despise flowers.” Sitting beside him was the tearful bride-to-be who whispered, “I adore flowers – they’re my favorite part.”‘

Willow chooses not to disclose that she designed the exhibits for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, including those for their child Prince Archie’s christening.
In 2018, as Philippa Craddock adorned St. George’s Chapel, Windsor, for their wedding, the couple instead entrusted the decoration of the glass marquee at Frogmore House, their reception venue, to Willow.
Later, Willow made the news after being requested by the Sussexes to craft the wreath for Prince Philip’s funeral, which took place in 2021.
They stood alone among the Royal Family as the ones who publicly announced their floral tribute, which attracted some negative remarks.
According to Willow, her current focus is centered around what she passionately enjoys, as she expressed during an interview with The Chromologist podcast. She mentioned that she’s working on large-scale installations, expanding her store, and potentially contributing to organizing a festival.
