Note of Caution: This write-up discloses SPOILERS about Thunderbolts, where the lead actress, Florence Pugh, discusses Yelena Belova’s upcoming role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, particularly in the movie titled Avengers: Doomsday.
In a chat with Variety, Pugh discussed her reactions to the initial cast unveiling of “Avengers: Doomsday,” particularly the return of Sir Patrick Stewart and Sir Ian McKellen. She confessed that she was thrilled when she first saw the unexpected announcement, comparing it to a scene with chairs. Expanding on which other cast members excited her for “Avengers: Doomsday,” Pugh mentioned:
100%! Goodness gracious, there are far too many individuals to select from! Pedro Pascal, undeniably, without a doubt. Paul Rudd, indeed, he’s hysterical. Frankly speaking, the concept that all these people will be in the same film is utterly mind-boggling.
Since the filming of “Avengers: Doomsday” has commenced, and Florence Pugh will reprise her role as Yelena, there was also a discussion about her character gaining the main spotlight she requested in “Thunderbolts*“. Pugh shared some insights on what aspects of Yelena’s development post-“Thunderbolts*” she is eager to explore:
*Note: Thunderbolts is not a confirmed title as of yet.
I’m wishing for her well-being, hoping she experiences contentment and a sense of accomplishment in life. Furthermore, I long for the day when we can once more appreciate her radiance, her charisma, and her vibrancy, as I always enjoyed witnessing them.
