Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield’s new movie confirms UK release date
Ah, as a seasoned gamer with a penchant for both blockbuster films and indie darlings, I must say, the announcement of “We Live in Time” has piqued my interest. With Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield at the helm and John Crowley directing, this romantic drama seems to be shaping up to be a captivating tale that will tug at my heartstrings.
We Live in Time has announced a UK release date.
beginning January 1, 2025, the heartfelt dramatic film featuring Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield is set for release in movie theaters all over the United Kingdom and Ireland.
After the movie’s debut at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 6, film fans will need to wait for four months before they can see it in the cinema.
In simpler terms, the story We Live in Time focuses on Pugh and Garfield’s journey as a couple through various milestones in their lives.
The movie’s synopsis hints at an unexpected meeting between Almut (Pugh) and Tobias (Garfield), an event that significantly alters their individual journeys.
By showcasing the milestones of their relationship – falling in love, creating a household, forming a family – an unsettling reality emerges that shakes their very core.
In the journey that is restricted by time constraints, they grow to appreciate every instant of the unique path their love story has followed. This extraordinary journey is depicted in the decade-long, emotionally powerful romance crafted by filmmaker John Crowley.
In the film “We Live in Time,” John Crowley, who is recognized for his work on “The Goldfinch” and “Brooklyn,” takes the director’s chair. Benedict Cumberbatch serves as an executive producer. The screenplay was penned by Nick Payne, a recipient of multiple Olivier Awards for his plays.
In the year 2025, Pugh is set to return to our screens, portraying Yelena Belova once again in Marvel’s upcoming production of “Thunderbolts.” This comes after her appearance in “Black Widow.”
At San Diego Comic Con, the initial clips from the movie that will hit theaters in May of next year were unveiled during a gathering with the film’s actors.
In the same scene, Pugh was joined by David Harbour, known for his role in Stranger Things, reprising his character as Pugh’s on-screen father, Alexei Shostakov, also recognized as Red Guardian.
We Live in Time will be released in the UK on January 1, 2025.
