On Friday, it was unexpectedly revealed by FKA twigs that she had to withdraw from Coachella at the last second and cancel the rest of her North American tour. This sudden turn of events left many of her fans feeling angry and disappointed.
The performer behind “The Perfect Stranger” (aged 37) – who had to postpone some scheduled performances last month – expressed her deep sadness about a situation that stemmed from persistent visa complications.
Initially, she was set to take the stage at the Coachella Music Festival in Indio, California on both April 11th and 18th. Additionally, she recently called off her scheduled appearance at AXE Ceremonia in Mexico City this coming weekend.
She regretfully announced that due to persistent visa complications, she won’t be able to fulfill any of her upcoming North American tour dates in April, which includes performances at Ceremonia and Coachella. This was shared on both X and Instagram.
FKA twigs went on to express, ‘It saddens me to mention this since I’m thrilled to share with you a work that I’ve put my heart and soul into…’.
“I firmly believe it’s some of my best work, and I understand that this news affects a lot of you who had arranged plans and spent money to attend these shows. Rest assured, I am doing everything I can to reschedule the impacted dates as soon as possible.
