Fitness influencer Kayla Itsines splashes $13m on five-bedroom, four-bathroom Gold Coast mega-mansion after extended house hunt

Fitness influencer Kayla Itsines has bought a stunning $13 million waterfront home on the Gold Coast after looking for the ideal luxury property for quite some time.

Kayla Itsines, the 34-year-old co-founder of the popular fitness app Sweat, and her husband, Jae Woodroffe, had been looking at luxury properties in the area for a while.

I’ve been tracking their search obsessively, and it’s been wild! They looked at SO many incredible homes all over southeast Queensland – the really fancy areas, you know? At one point, I even thought they might rent somewhere short-term while they waited for the perfect place to become available. They’re so picky, but honestly, I wouldn’t expect anything less!

They bought the stunning Mermaid Waters home before it was scheduled to be auctioned later this month.

This stunning property sits on a large 2280 square meter block – actually three blocks combined – and offers an incredible 81.5 meters of waterfront access.

The house boasts five bedrooms and four bathrooms, and is filled with luxury amenities. These include a tennis court, an infinity pool, a cocktail bar, a wine cellar, an indoor trampoline, and a large marble terrace perfect for entertaining.

The property also includes a pontoon and boat shed directly on the water’s edge. 

Kayla, a popular wellness influencer with over 15 million followers, said finding a home was harder than she expected.

We had some challenges with the search at first, but things have improved a lot since we started working with the team at Cohen Handler. We’ve developed a great working relationship with them,” she said to Realestate.com.au.

The purchase further expands the fitness entrepreneur’s growing property empire.

In March 2024, she sold her beautifully updated 1920s home in Malvern, a suburb of Adelaide, South Australia, for a record-breaking $7.375 million.

Kayla also moved to Queensland that year, wanting to be near her daughter Arna’s father, Tobi Pearce, who is both her former fiancé and business partner.

She married Woodroffe in December 2023, and the couple also have a young son, Jax.

Oh my gosh, Kayla and Pearce? They totally blew up with those Bikini Body Training guides – I still have mine! And then, like, they didn’t stop there! They created the whole Sweat app, which is how everyone knows them now. Seriously, it’s amazing to see how far they’ve come!

In 2021, the duo sold their business to iFIT, a US company, for over $150 million. Then, just two years later, they reacquired it.

Honestly, it’s no surprise they’re doing so well! This deal basically guaranteed they’d both become incredibly wealthy – like, we’re talking around $170 million each! I’ve been following their careers for years, and seeing them achieve this level of success is amazing, though I always knew they were destined for greatness. It just feels so good to see them reaping the rewards!

Completed in 2023 by DB Build, the property recently received the President’s Award at the 2024 Gold Coast Housing and Construction Awards.

This house features a beautiful Tropical Colonial design by Sydney’s Hicks and Holmsted studio. Key elements include elegant French doors, spacious wraparound porches, and classic pitched roofs.

In November, Kayla’s insane net worth was revealed in the Financial Review 2025 Young Rich List.
