Fit Family Fun: Kate & Rio Ferdinand’s Home Gym Workout with Sons

On a sunny Sunday, I couldn’t help but share a peek into my workout session with my amazing family – my beloved husband Rio and our adorable kids. Needless to say, the day was filled with laughter, sweat, and pure joy!

Previously known TOWIE celeb, aged 33, was spotted cradling their 18-month-old daughter Shae, while capturing a reflective selfie within their luxurious home fitness area.

As a die-hard fan, I clung tightly to this young lady, her adorable pink attire standing out against my monochrome ensemble of a black long-sleeved top and leggings, as I swayed gently with her in my arms.

Meanwhile former Manchester United legend Rio rocked a navy hoodie and matching tracksuit bottoms. 

In the backdrop, four-year-old Cree, son of Kate and Rio, beamed with joy while operating a cardio equipment, while Tate, aged 15, flaunted his well-toned physique by lifting weights.

Kate wrote: ‘Sundays, family day’. 

Kate, who got married to Rio in a picturesque Turkish wedding back in September 2019, had already moved into the property as early as 2017.

Since then, she now takes loving care of his three kids, Lorenz (aged 18), Tate (15), and Tia (13), whom he had from his earlier marriage with Rebecca Ellison, who sadly passed away in 2015.

Kate and Rio have also welcomed two children together Shae and Cree. 

The possibility arises that Kate might face an uncomfortable run-in with her former boyfriend, Dan Edgar, when Dancing On Ice resumes broadcast.

Kate is accompanying her husband to assist Anton, aged 39, as he competes on a high-end show, where Dan, 34, is also participating.

In the year 2015, Kate and Dan were a couple. This was around the time Kate first appeared on The Only Way Is Essex, where she was presented as Dan’s off-again, on-again love interest.

However, as the series unfolded, Dan faced accusations of infidelity in 2016, following the six-year course of their relationship.

However, preparing for what might be a frosty reconciliation, a source claims to The Sun that Kate and Rio are planning to present a harmonious facade.

According to the TV insider, Rio and Kate are planning to show a unified presence when they visit the Dancing On Ice studio to observe Anton.

‘It is always awkward seeing an ex; Kate is just glad to have Rio by her side in the audience.

Luckily for me, I won’t be seeing Dan perform his debut skate routine until next week. This gives my ears a well-deserved break from the intensity of an entire performance.

Later on, it was clarified that there had been a profound affection shared between them throughout their on-again, off-again relationship over the years.

Subsequently, it was verified that Kate and Rio are contentedly wedded and remain undisturbed by the sight of her former partner on the filming location.

Kate found it more challenging than she initially let on, since Dan often made her feel irrational or unhinged.

2017 saw a heated exchange between Dan and Kate on TOWIE. In that encounter, Kate expressed: “You led me to believe I was insane, with statements like ‘You’re crazy,’ ‘You’re imagining things.’ Essentially, you made me think I was going mad.

Following their choice to part ways, Dan expressed that their connection seemed akin to having been married for three decades, with the tendency to irritate each other.

It’s hard to accept that things have reached this point. Honestly, I had expected us to spend the remainder of our lives together.

Kate reminisced, posting a touching flashback photo, as it marked eight years since she first encountered her spouse, Rio.

In 2016, Kate and the former football player crossed paths for the first time when their mutual acquaintances arranged a meeting during their vacation in Dubai.

The pair returned to the UAE to celebrate the year 2025, with Kate posting a warm photo of them having a wonderful time together on an evening out.

Alongside the post, she wrote: ‘Rio & I met 8 years ago yesterday.

It’s amazing to think about how things have come full circle; we find ourselves once again at the spot where our journey began, married and blessed with two more lovely kids, making a family of five.

It’s astonishing to ponder how a casual encounter, coupled with numerous obstacles, has led us to anticipate welcoming the New Year as a family of seven (with Lorenz slightly absent).
