Unexpectedly, a new talent joins Team Secret’s roster! Their impressive skill set promises an exhilarating experience. Don’t miss out on all the excitement during the FISSURE Playground Closed Qualifiers!

2024’s year-end is approaching and the final Tier 1 tournaments have concluded. However, the Fissure Playground Closed Qualifiers are on the horizon, serving as an exciting Christmas present for Dota 2 fans craving more action. Recently, Fissure has revealed the teams that will compete for the various slots they are assigning in each region.

At the FISSURE tournament, each qualifier will provide just a single spot for the Closed Qualifiers. Furthermore, eleven teams are going to be given direct entries to the Main Event. Similar to their past event, BB Dacha, the LAN phase is scheduled to take place in Belgrade, Serbia.

Teams invited to the FISSURE Playground Closed Qualifiers

Following the unveiling of the squads participating in the initial three Closed Qualifiers, certain lineups have left the community taken aback. Given that several top-tier teams are missing from this lineup, it’s reasonable to infer that teams like Team Falcons, PARIVISION, and Team Liquid might receive direct invitations.

WEU + MENA: Secret stronger than ever and Kuroky stays as coach

The WEU (Western European Union) region is known as one of the most challenging to earn a spot in. Many top-tier teams within this region aren’t vying for the slot, but MOUZ and AVULUS are well-known contenders. However, what left the community astonished was the addition of Parker, formerly HEROIC’s rising star.

Based on a social media update from Team Secret, it’s stated that they are temporarily replacing their regular player with another during the FISSURE Playground Closed Qualifiers.

Americas: Hector “K1” returns!

Following his temporary hiatus from HEROIC, K1 is back in the game with M80, formerly of Beastcoast. Consequently, Yheremi “payk” Arroyo is currently looking for a team (LFT) until more updates are provided. Nevertheless, there’s still a possibility that payk might rejoin HEROIC, as they haven’t officially signed Yuma yet.

Conversely, it appears that things are more challenging than before for teams in the North American (NA) region, as just a single squad is competing for the regional spot. Essentially, this implies that no NA team succeeded in advancing past the Open Qualifiers round.

SEA: One more chance for Kukuys

Although Team Kukuys wasn’t successful in qualifying for ESL One Bangkok or BB Dacha, their performance has demonstrated that they are among the most formidable teams in the region. As a result, they were spared from participating in the Open Qualifiers this time around.
