Fisher-Price channels the magic of Hogwarts in its second Little People Collector Harry Potter Collection

As a devoted Potterhead who grew up with Harry and his magical companions, I must say that Fisher-Price’s Little People Collector series has brought back a wave of nostalgia that I never knew I needed. The intricate detailing on these figurines is simply enchanting, transporting me straight back to the Hogwarts Express or the Gryffindor common room.

As a devoted fan, I can confidently say that the Harry Potter book series significantly impacted countless readers’ lives, and this holds true for the cinematic adaptations as well. The film portrayals have etched themselves into my memory, with Rupert Grint’s spellbinding depiction of Ron Weasley’s fear of spiders remaining unforgettable. Emma Watson effortlessly embodied Hermione, her strained expression in Potions class a testament to the character’s intelligence. Watching Daniel Radcliffe grow and transform on screen mirrored Harry’s journey, making it a truly delightful experience for me.

The new collection of figurines from Fisher-Price’s Little People series inspired by their Collector line intends to evoke nostalgia among fans, recreating scenes from eight beloved movies through these toy sets. As stated in a press release by Fisher-Price, this series is designed to reignite something precious: a connection to cherished memories.

Fisher-Price’s Little People Collector (LPC) line was born from the idea that the toys we love as children – when combined with the things we’ve grown to love as adults – can inspire joy, fun, and laughter to the kid inside all of us…each collectible figure pack presents a window into a unique world where your fan favorites are brought to life in a signature Little People form…taking cues from memorable scenes or moments in time.

Press Email from Fisher-Price

Anticipation ran high as the sets for “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” and “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” hit shelves earlier this year. Now, we’re eagerly awaiting the arrival of “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban” and “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire”. By next year, these additions will round out Fisher-Price’s 2024 collection.

Fantastic beasts and where to film them

One particularly gripping segment of “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban” is the encounter within the Whispering Woods, where secrets are disclosed, bonds are renewed, and Harry transitions from the vengeful orphan set on punishing the supposed traitor Sirius Black to the godson who never had the opportunity to know his parents’ cherished friend.

In this scene, we decide on adding figurines from the third film, showcasing the remaining Marauders in their human shapes. At this point, Professor Lupin hasn’t transformed into a werewolf, but the ominous full moon suggests it’s imminent. The Dementors are seen hovering over Harry and Sirius, hinting at an upcoming attack near the lake. Meanwhile, Peter Pettigrew is placed above the Marauders’ Map, revealing his location to his former schoolmate. Harry appears quite battered after his encounter with the Whomping Willow.

The set will be ready by Harry’s birthday on July 31, priced at a retail rate of $24.99.

The Three Tasks

The story Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire primarily revolves around the Tri-Wizard Tournament, showcasing each of its four participants. This backdrop, bathed in the glow of the Goblet of Fire’s blue flames, seems to be set during the scene where the champions are chosen. Four pieces of paper emerge from the Goblet.

In the foreground, I, as a fan, imagine Fleur Delacour proudly displaying a replica of the Common Welsh Green dragon she battled in the first task. Harry Potter holds aloft the golden egg, which contained the riddle he had to decipher for the Second Task’s preparation. Victor Krum, who transformed into half a shark during that same challenge to survive underwater, is seen here in his Durmstrang uniform, masking his bestial form. Cedric Diggory, victor of the Tri-Wizard Cup after successfully completing the Third Task, tragically appears in this depiction as he did when murdered on Voldemort’s orders.

This line will be available later in the fall for the price of $24.99.

Rush over to Amazon, Walmart, or Mattel Creations’ website to grab some small-scale action figures using a few Galleons. (The Harry Potter reference is maintained but rephrased to be more understandable for those unfamiliar with the series.)
