First trailer for The Bear star Ebon Moss-Bachrach’s new movie
As a seasoned gamer and horror movie enthusiast with a penchant for intricate narratives and captivating performances, I’m thoroughly excited about Disney’s upcoming psychological horror film “Hold Your Breath.” The combination of Ebon Moss-Bachrach’s gripping acting prowess from “The Bear” and Sarah Paulson’s chilling portrayals from “American Horror Story” promises an electrifying on-screen dynamic.
Disney’s Searchlight Pictures has unveiled the debut trailer for the chilling psychological horror movie titled “Hold Your Breath“. This upcoming film stars Ebon Moss-Bachrach, famously known for his role in “The Bear”, and Sarah Paulson, a notable figure from “American Horror Story”.
1930s Oklahoma serves as the backdrop for a town frequently hit by severe dust storms. Following the tragic discovery of a mother and her children deceased, whispers begin circulating about an enigmatic character known as ‘The Drifter’, who supposedly carries out killings during these tempests and possesses some uncanny abilities.
Listening in, it’s said that if you inhale him, he’ll drive you to do dreadful acts. As we watch Paulson’s character falter, one wonders if she’s merely succumbing to the fear of an apparently unrealistic danger, or is there something more at play?
In the United States, the movie is set to premiere on Hulu on October 3. At this point, there’s no confirmed release date or platform in the UK. However, considering that both Hulu (owned by Disney) and Searchlight are under Disney’s umbrella, it seems probable that it will also appear on Disney+ at some point.
Moving forward, Paulson has several upcoming projects lined up. She is set to appear in the biographical film “Ethel“, but her character won’t be Ethel Stark, the groundbreaking conductor who formed an all-woman band of musicians to combat the sexism prevalent during the 1940s. Instead, she will portray a different character in this biopic.
On television, she will be heading a show titled “Untamed“, as Krista Vernoff, the previous showrunner of “Grey’s Anatomy“, brings to life Glennon Doyle’s popular memoir with the same name.
In the upcoming Marvel film titled “Fantastic Four: First Steps”, Moss-Bachrach has been cast to portray Ben Grimm, also known as The Thing. Joining him are Pedro Pascal, famous for “The Last of Us”, Vanessa Kirby, who gained recognition in “Napoleon”, and Joseph Quinn, well-known from “Stranger Things”. They will be playing the other members of this family/superhero team.
Hold Your Breath will be released on October 3 on Hulu in the US.
