First trailer for Taron Egerton’s Netflix thriller
As a thriller enthusiast with a knack for spotting promising performances, I am beyond excited about the upcoming Netflix release of “Carry-On”. The teaser has me hooked! With Taron Egerton’s versatility and Jason Bateman’s charisma, this movie seems destined to deliver an adrenaline-pumping ride.
The tense first trailer for Taron Egerton’s new Netflix thriller Carry-On has been released.
In an upcoming film, the actor known for playing Rocketman assumes the role of a Transportation Security Administration officer, who finds himself in a tricky situation after being threatened by a secretive traveler portrayed by Jason Bateman from Ozark.
Before it hits the streaming platform in December, the initial trailer hints at an exhilarating journey ahead.
At the beginning, there are those who make decisions, and those who take instructions… I am the one you should follow, states Bateman assertively.
Next, we find Ethan Kopek, played by Egerton, at the airport wearing an earpiece. A cryptic voice of the traveler forewarns him that “today is a day that will be etched in your memory for years to come,” but if he manages it correctly, he may have the opportunity to erase it from his mind.
Later, Bateman’s character warns Ethan that he will harm someone dear to him unless Ethan complies with his wishes – specifically allowing a potentially hazardous parcel to pass undetected. This is followed by a sequence of thrilling scenes depicting various actions.
“All you have to do is nothing,” the traveller adds.
The summary of Carry-On hints at the protagonist, portrayed by Egerton, attempting to outwit a secretive traveler, played by Bateman, who coerces him into allowing a hazardous item onto a Christmas Day aircraft.
In addition to Egerton and Bateman, the film boasts a talented ensemble cast that includes Sofia Carson from Disney’s Descendants, Danielle Deadwyler from Till, Sinqua Walls known for Once Upon a Time, Logan Marshall-Green famed for The OC, Theo Rossi of Sons of Anarchy, and Breaking Bad’s Dean Norris.
The script is penned by writers TJ Fixman and Michael Green, under the direction of Jaume Collet-Serra, who is known for directing Black Adam.
The release date for “Carry-On” at Christmas time was officially announced in August, and a sneak peek was shown as early as February.
Carry-On will stream on Netflix from December 13.
