First trailer for Stranger Things star’s new Netflix horror movie

As a huge fan of both Caleb McLaughlin and horror movies, I can’t help but be excited about his latest project, “The Deliverance,” which is set to premiere on Netflix next month. I have always been intrigued by the supernatural and the unknown, and this movie seems to deliver (pun intended) on both fronts.

In the initial trailer for the upcoming Netflix horror “The Deliverance,” acting talents from “Stranger Things,” specifically Caleb McLaughlin, make an appearance, adding to the eerie atmosphere.

Next month, a new film will be shown in theaters, where a mother battles not only for her own survival but also her beliefs and her children’s souls, as she uncovers that their home harbors a supernatural being.

The trailer opens with Andra Day’s character Ebony being warned by a messenger: “Disregard whatever you hear mentioned. It will affect your emotions deeply, it will haunt your thoughts…”

Next, ominous noises echo in the background from an off-screen source as the apostle commences the exorcism, prompting Ebony to retreat cautiously.

The preview continues to tantalize with a succession of unsettling scenes, such as a person submerged in a bathtub and children appearing possessed.

The film, produced by Lee Daniels of “Empire,” features an impressive cast including Glenn Close from “Guardians of the Galaxy,” Demi Singleton known for her role in “King Richard,” Miss Lawrence starred in “The United States vs. Billie Holiday,” Academy Award-winning actress Mo’Nique, and Omar Epps well-recognized in “Power Book III: Raising Kanan.”

McLaughlin is most recognized for portraying Lucas Sinclair in the popular Netflix series “Stranger Things,” set to return for its fifth and concluding installment on the streaming platform.

The production of the new Netflix series has reached its midpoint, as revealed in a recent behind-the-scenes video. This clip introduced new cast members Nell Fisher, Jake Connelly, and Alex Breaux to viewers.

On social media, Netflix expressed, “In honor of reaching the midpoint of filming for Stranger Things 5, and marking an amazing 8-year journey with the show, we’re thrilled to give you a sneak peek behind the scenes during production of our final season.”

The Deliverance will be released on Netflix on August 30.
