First trailer for Robert Pattinson’s delayed sci-fi movie is coming today

According to the novel Mickey 7 by Edward Ashton, the film has me playing the character of Mickey 17, an “expendable” individual. I am a replaceable employee on a human mission aimed at colonizing the frozen planet Niflheim.

Mickey 17’s role involves tackling the riskiest aspects of the mission, and in case he perishes during this process (which seems likely), a new body grows with many of his past memories preserved.

Yet, during the mission, an unusual event occurred that inadvertently spawned a fresh version of Mickey, despite the original not having perished previously, which was quite an awkward situation.

Initially scheduled to be released in March 2024, the film titled Mickey 17, featuring Naomi Ackie, Toni Collette, and Mark Ruffalo, was postponed indefinitely following the production disruptions caused by the 2023 strikes.

Gladly, it has been confirmed for an early release next year on January 31, 2025, as Warner Bros announced the date earlier this year.

His new film is the first one he’s made since the massive global success of “Parasite,” which earned over $260 million globally and took home four Academy Awards, including the prestigious award for Best Picture.

Mickey 17 is released in cinemas on January 31, 2025.
