It’s been 16 years since the last Meet the Parents movie, Little Fockers, but Greg Focker and his challenging father-in-law, Jack Byrnes, are returning in a new sequel called Focker-in-Law. The film hits theaters on November 25th.
The new movie reunites Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro, and adds Ariana Grande to the cast – this will be her first role since finishing the movie Wicked. She’ll be playing a character named Olivia Jones, but details about her part in the story are still a mystery.
A new preview from Paramount shows the actress participating in Jack’s famous lie detector test, hinting she’s being considered as a potential member of the family. This seems to confirm previous reports that she will play the partner of Greg and Pam’s son.
The short preview also reveals the first trailer for Focker-in-Law will be released tomorrow, giving us a better look at the movie then. You can watch the Focker-in-Law preview below.
The new series, Focker-in-Law, features returning cast members Blythe Danner as Dina Byrnes, Teri Polo as Greg’s wife Pam, and Owen Wilson as Pam’s ex-fiancé Kevin. Skyler Gisondo and Beanie Feldstein join the cast as Greg and Pam’s now-adult twins, Henry and Samantha.

John Hamburg wrote and directed the new movie. He previously co-wrote the last three films in the series, which were directed by Paul Weitz.
In September 2025, Ben Stiller complimented Ariana Grande’s performance in the new film, noting how seamlessly she fit into the role. He told E! News that she is a true professional, very funny, and incredibly talented – not only as a singer, but also in her role in Wicked.

Her performance in this movie is truly special, and the character she plays is unlike anything we’ve seen before. We’re really enjoying working with her.
Ariana Grande is set to work with Wicked director Jon M. Chu again on an animated film called Oh, the Places You’ll Go!, also starring Josh Gad. The movie will include new songs written by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul.
Focker-in-Law is released in cinemas on 25 November.
