First trailer for Kristen Stewart’s unique new movie
The initial trailer for the post-apocalyptic love story between Kristen Stewart and Steven Yeun titled “Love Me” has been released.
In this movie, created by first-time directors Sam and Andy Zuchero, we find the main characters portrayed as an intelligent buoy and a satellite. These characters happen to have crossed paths online, a connection formed well after the extinction of mankind.
In their exploration of Earth’s past as they rely solely on the internet for guidance, they come to understand the essence of living and loving.
The trailer shows us the initial shapes of the robots, as Yeun’s satellite communicates to Stewart’s smart buoy, indicating his intention to link her up via the internet.
The duo explore human nature by creating AI-driven digital counterparts that imitate a popular YouTube couple known as Deja and Liam.
As the robots quickly develop a feeling of personal identity, Deja, one of Stewart’s characters, expresses: “I’m no longer just a buoy; I am simply myself.
“We’re becoming who we are,” replies Liam.
The enchantingly philosophical and playful design of ‘Love Me’ artfully combines the tangible world, digital realm, and dreamlike imagery,” is a rephrased version that preserves the essence of the original description while making it more accessible to readers.
In this story, the main characters, who resemble stars entwined by a web and are portrayed alternately by Stewart and Yeun, struggle with romance and friendship, utilizing an immense amount of stored web data, social media posts, and online videos as their only resources for guidance.
Immersed in these virtual relationships and contrived displays of affection and self, they long to discern their true selves, question the authenticity of their emotions, and ponder if their existence holds genuine substance.
In another project, Stewart will be joining forces with Oscar Isaac for the imminent vampire thriller titled “Flesh of the Gods“. Their characters are a couple who reside in a lavish skyscraper penthouse and venture out each evening into a vibrant, nocturnal world.
Love Me releases in US cinemas on January 31. A UK release date is yet to be confirmed.
