Jason Statham and director David Ayer are teaming up again on the project “A Working Man” following their successful collaboration on “The Beekeeper“. David Harbour is also joining this upcoming production.
A trailer for the new action film featuring the cast of “Hobbs & Shaw” and “Stranger Things” has been unveiled, offering a glimpse to viewers of this surprising pairing on screen.
At the beginning of this article, the scene starts with some background information provided by character Levon Cade, portrayed by Jason Statham. Prior to this, Levon was a marine; however, following the passing of his wife, he transitioned into construction work.
“You’re my family,” he tells his boss Garcia, played by MCU star Michael Peña.
Indeed, it’s Levon who steps in when Garcia’s daughter, Jenny (Arianna Rivas), goes missing following a night out. Using the skills that appear to be his forte, he employs tactics reminiscent of his military background.
As I delve deeper into the gritty, murky world hidden beneath the city’s vibrant facade, I can’t help but overhear a suspicious conversation. When a thug approaches me, inquiring if I’m with the law, I cheekily retort, “If only I were a cop!
Harbor assumes the role of Levon’s visually impaired comrade-in-arms and arms supplier, often referred to as Gunny, a name that clearly signifies his profession.
As I guide you through my arsenal tonight, Levon, think of me as your personal gaming gun connoisseur. Here, we’ve got a selection of top-notch, Bluetooth-equipped M14s at your disposal.
The trailer additionally hints at the reunion of Statham with his Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels partner, Jason Flemyng, who makes an appearance towards the end of the video.
The story “A Working Man” is based on the 2014 novel “Levon’s Trade,” penned by Chuck Dixon, a renowned writer in the comic book world of both Marvel and DC.
A Working Man is released in US cinemas on March 28. A UK release date is to be announced.
