First trailer for Game of Thrones creator’s new action fantasy
A first trailer for the new action fantasy In the Lost Lands has been unveiled.
According to the short story penned by George RR Martin, the film features Milla Jovovich portraying the role of the sorceress Gray Alys, while Dave Bautista takes on the character of her guide named Boyce.
The queen dispatches the formidable and dreaded sorceress Gray Alys to the haunting expanse of the Forgotten Realms to seek a mystical force. In this perilous journey, Gray Alys and her companion, the wanderer Boyce, are tasked with outsmarting and overpowering both human adversaries and demonic forces.
The video uploaded onto YouTube starts off with Boyce explaining the perilous expedition, immediately diving into a shootout against numerous menacing adversaries.
As I stand here, I can’t help but reflect on what once was – a world familiar to us all, swallowed by the inferno of a far-off conflict known as a great war. Now, what remains is merely fragments, echoes of what we knew, often referred to as the Forgotten Realms.
In a given scenario, Boyce encounters Gray Alys, who seeks a skilled navigator to direct her towards a remarkable trove of immense power. Together, they undertake a perilous journey that is fraught with challenges as they encounter menacing creatures and find themselves constantly pursued.
The preview hints at blazes, conflicts, intense standoffs, and a dual-bodied serpent. A shadowy antagonist asserts, “She stands for their rebellion.” “Her life must be ended.” (In a more conversational style) The teaser suggests fiery clashes, heated confrontations, a two-headed snake, and all that. A sinister figure says, “She’s their symbol of resistance.” But he growls, “She needs to meet her end.
Under the direction of Paul W.S. Anderson, who previously worked on Resident Evil, the movie titled In the Lost Lands is slated for a U.S. cinema release on March 7, 2025. A UK release date has not been disclosed as of now.
Milla Jovovich first became associated with this project as early as 2015, when it was said that she was in the final stages of negotiations to assume the main role. Alongside her and Dave Bautista will also be Arly Jover, Amara Okereke, Fraser James, and Deirdre Mullins.
The movie “The Lost Lands” is set to premiere in U.S. cinemas on March 7, 2025. As of now, a release date for the U.K. has not been determined.
The first eight seasons of Game of Thrones can be purchased on DVD or Blu-ray. Meanwhile, the spin-off series House of the Dragon is currently airing on HBO and Max in the US, and on Sky Atlantic and NOW in the UK.
