The trailer for the new season of Australian Survivor: Redemption was released on Tuesday, giving viewers a preview of the tough challenges the contestants will face.

The latest preview introduces David Genat as the new host, alongside returning contestants Simon Mee, Brooke Jowett, Harry Hills, and Mark Warnock, who was a finalist on Titans Vs Rebels.

The show will feature intense and hard-hitting competition as experienced players go up against newcomers.

Okay, so I was watching the preview, and one of them said—get this—they’re planning to completely control the whole tribe tomorrow, and nobody will even realize it’s happening! I nearly screamed! It’s brilliant, and so sneaky! I can’t wait to see how it all goes down, honestly. They’re geniuses!

The preview shows exciting challenges, like a competition where contestants playfully fight with cushioned paddles in a swimming pool.

Another scene shows cast members going head to head during a tribal meeting.

“You deliberately put me in a difficult situation!” one player exclaimed. The other retorted, “You did it to yourself, though – you were already heading for trouble.”

Harry Hills is returning for his third attempt to win Sole Survivor, and in a preview, he challenged his fellow contestants.

For him, winning the half-million-dollar prize and succeeding in the game would feel like a personal triumph and a way to make things right.

Mark Warnock, a former diplomat and a top-three finisher on Survivor in 2024, is returning to the show with a mission: not just to prove himself, but to get revenge.

The new cast includes Johnson Ashak, who previously appeared on the 2023 season of the reality show, Big Brother.

Cat Hooker, a contestant on the New Zealand version of The Traitors, and Lyndl Kean, a model and social media personality, are both newcomers to Survivor.

Oh my gosh, you guys, Don Rogers is going to be on the show! I’m SO excited! For those who don’t know, he’s a country singer, which is amazing on its own, but get this – he’s Mat Rogers’ brother! Like, the Mat Rogers from Champions vs. Contenders? I can’t even handle how awesome this is going to be! I’ve been following Don’s music for ages, and now seeing him as a castaway? Dream come true!

Joining the cast are several new faces: up-and-coming actress Aisha Wighton, artist Lottie Rae (known from the ABC’s Portrait Artist of the Year), professional wrestler Jackson Goonrey, AFL player Ben Nabea Davis, and Eliza Reilly, who created the popular web series Sheilas.

The new contestants are a diverse group, including vet nurse Paula Drew, chef Faith Setiawan, law student Tez Vlamis, former News.com boss Richard Skimin, fitness instructor Dr. Blanche Cruz, truck driver Caleb Beeby, pastor Daniel Lindberg, and Lauren ‘Loz’ Mac.

Fans were surprised in June when Jonathan LaPaglia revealed he wouldn’t be returning to Australian Survivor, after being let go from the show.

The TV host, known for leading the Channel Ten series for almost ten years, received a lot of support when he announced he would be finishing with the Australia V The World series.

I was absolutely floored when I read that Anthony LaPaglia had been let go! And the way he found out? Apparently, he told the Daily Telegraph it was just…brutal. I mean, can you imagine? He deserved so much better, and the whole thing is just awful. I’m still reeling from it, honestly.

‘The speculation online was that I received an email. But no, it was a call to my manager in Australia,’ he told the publication.

‘I didn’t get a direct call, which, I’ll be honest with you, was disappointing.

After leading their main show for a decade, I would have appreciated a personal call from the network’s leadership, but I never received one.
