First ‘Masters of the Universe’ Trailer Will Reportedly Have Fans Yelling “I Have the Power!”

I’m hearing some exciting news for fans of Masters of the Universe! It looks like the first trailer might be dropping very soon, if a recent leak is accurate. We’ve already gotten a few behind-the-scenes glimpses of this long-awaited reboot, but apparently, some people have *already* seen the trailer itself!

The episode begins with Prince Adam chatting with a friend back on Earth, and they’re puzzled by the presence of Cringer, the green tiger. Then, the story shifts to Prince Adam traveling to his home planet and discovering his family history from someone who appears to be the sorceress – though it was a bit difficult to make out details clearly due to the watermarks.

Following that, the trailer shows some quick cuts of Prince Adam interacting with various people on Eternia. We get a short look at Skeletor and what appears to be Evil-Lyn. The trailer definitely features Prince Adam lifting the sword and shouting “I HAVE THE POWER”, showcasing his transformation. There are a few fast-paced scenes of him battling as He-Man before the trailer concludes.

According to the source, the trailer was about 75% finished, meaning the visual effects weren’t complete and the editing was still pretty rough. Despite this, they felt the footage accurately captured the look and feel of the original cartoon, particularly the main villain.

The trailer features a significant amount of Eternia. Skeletor looked particularly impressive – he closely resembles his appearance in the original cartoon. It was difficult to get a clear look at the other characters because of watermarks and the fact that the footage was still in progress. My wife thought Man-At-Arms looked great.

Now that Amazon MGM Studios has previewed the film, it looks like fans won’t have to wait much longer to see the completed movie. Given that Masters of the Universe is scheduled to premiere on June 5, 2026, we might get a first look with a teaser trailer before the year is over.

The Star-Studded Cast & Plot of ‘Masters of the Universe’

Travis Knight, the director of Bumblebee, is bringing a new vision to Masters of the Universe. This version promises to be truer to the original stories than the 1987 film starring Dolph Lundgren. While specific details about the plot are still limited, we know the movie will show He-Man on Earth, discovering his family history before heading back to Eternia to take his rightful place in that magical world. Early glimpses of the costumes suggest they’ll closely resemble those from the classic cartoon and toy collection.

The actors in Masters of the Universe include Nicholas Galitzine playing Prince Adam Glenn / He-Man, Camila Mendes as Teela, Jared Leto as Keldor / Skeletor, Alison Brie as Professor Evelyn Powers / Evil-Lyn, Idris Elba as Duncan / Man-At-Arms, Sam C. Wilson as Kronis / Trap Jaw, Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson as Goat Man, Kojo Attah as Tri-Klops, Morena Baccarin as the Sorceress of Castle Grayskull, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson as Malcolm / Fisto, Sasheer Zamata as Suzie, James Purefoy as King Randor, Charlotte Riley as Queen Marlena Glenn, Jon Xue Zhang as Ram-Man, and Kristen Wiig as Roboto.

Masters of the Universe is set to hit theaters on June 5, 2026.
