Sneaker fans are buzzing over a rare find! Photos have emerged of a super limited-edition Nike Air Force 1 Low designed in collaboration with NIGO – a “Triple White 2GO” sample. Only 50 pairs were ever made, making this sneaker a unique piece that pays homage to classic streetwear with understated details.
The shoe’s most noticeable feature is the custom “2GO” embroidery on the heel. Experts quickly recognized the font as the same one used on the rare Eminem ENCORE Air Force 1s. The “2GO” name is a smart wordplay: in Japanese, “2” is pronounced “ni,” making “2GO” sound like the designer NIGO’s name. Interestingly, NIGO literally means “the second” in Japanese—a nickname he earned early in his career because he was mentored by and followed streetwear pioneer Hiroshi Fujiwara.
Okay, so as a sneakerhead, I gotta say this shoe is a total throwback! It’s built like those classic Air Force 1s from way back when, and they nailed the look with that all-white color scheme – you know, the one that was everywhere. They even went the extra mile and shaped the toe box like the ones NIGO loved back in 2001 – a little slimmer than the newer versions. And to top it all off, they added this really clean, almost see-through sole. It’s a seriously cool, classic vibe.
Although it’s extremely difficult to actually buy one of the limited-edition shoes, you can still see them up close. A rare sample pair is currently on display at the gift shop of the Design Museum in London, as a special treat for visitors to the “NIGO: From Japan With Love” exhibition.
