First look at The Crown star Claire Foy crying to Jack O’Connell in dramatic scenes from new film

The first images of Claire Foy in the upcoming biographical drama Ink have been released, showing her in a tense scene alongside Jack O’Connell. The film is adapted from James Graham’s play and tells the story of Rupert Murdoch’s reinvention of The Sun newspaper after he acquired it in the late 1960s.

Dominic O’Connell will play Larry Lamb, the editor brought in by the media owner to run the tabloid newspaper. Claire Foy is set to play Jules Davies, a driven editor who joins the paper and collaborates with Lamb. Guy Pearce will portray Rupert Murdoch.

Some behind-the-scenes photos show Claire Foy, playing her character, wearing a red dress and looking upset. The photos seem to be from a dramatic scene filmed in a park with Callum O’Connell, who plays Lamb.

Danny Boyle directed Ink, which was also adapted for the screen by Tom Morton-Smith, who originally wrote the play and it first debuted in London in 2017.

The movie is a fast-paced and exciting story about a team of unconventional thinkers who dreamed up a revolutionary approach to news – one designed to give people what they crave and ultimately transform the world.
