First look at The Bear star Ebon Moss-Bachrach’s new movie
As a seasoned gamer with a penchant for horror movies and a soft spot for period dramas, I can hardly contain my excitement upon witnessing the intriguing first look photos of ‘Hold Your Breath.’ The combination of the haunting atmosphere, the stellar cast, and the eerie backdrop of 1930s Oklahoma during the dust storms has me hooked.
Searchlight Pictures has released a number of first look photos for Hold Your Breath.
In the upcoming horror movie, actors Ebon Moss-Bachrach from “The Bear” and Sarah Paulson known for her role in “American Horror Story” will appear, as seen in the latest photos posted by Searchlight Pictures on their official social media account.
In the turbulent 1930s Oklahoma, during the devastating dust storms, a sorrowful mother named Paulson (believes) there’s an ominous force lurking beyond these natural disasters, putting her family’s wellbeing at risk.
As a devoted fan, I can’t help but marvel at the photos of Moss-Bachrach. In one, he’s ecstatically celebrating the downpour, while another captures him in an intimate, up-close shot that truly embodies his character.
In another photo, Sarah Paulson can be seen tightly holding her daughter, while in yet another chilling shot, she is depicted screaming in fear.
In this production, Annaleigh Ashford is part of the ensemble, while Amiah Miller from War for the Planet of the Apes is also featured. A sneak peek image shows Miller dressed in a nightgown and wearing a safety mask.
The movie titled “Hold Your Breath,” directed by both Karrie Crouse and William Joines, is scheduled for U.S. release on streaming platform Hulu starting October 3.
The specific date for when this movie will be released in the UK is still unknown, but it seems probable that its premiere will take place on Disney+’s streaming platform.
Besides his notable performance in “The Bear,” Moss-Bachrach has also secured another significant movie role. In February, it was announced that he will portray Ben Grimm (also known as the Thing) in Marvel’s upcoming “Fantastic Four” film.
He’s accompanied by Pedro Pascal, famed for his role in “The Last of Us,” who takes on Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic; Vanessa Kirby from “Napoleon,” known for her part as Sue Storm aka the Invisible Woman; and Joseph Quinn, star of “Stranger Things,” portraying Johnny Storm/the Human Torch.
The filming for the upcoming movie, set to hit theaters in July 2025, has recently started. Pascal posted a group selfie on Instagram, showing the main cast and director Matt Shakman together, which was taken in late July.
Hold Your Breath will be released on Hulu on October 3.
