First look at Taskmaster star Nick Mohammed in new British crime comedy Deep Cover
As a gaming enthusiast, I’m super pumped to share some exciting news! Amazon Prime Video has given us a sneak peek at their upcoming crime-comedy production titled “Deep Cover”. In this thrilling ride, you’ll see Nick Mohammed from Taskmaster, the talented Bryce Dallas Howard, and the charismatic Orlando Bloom in action. Can’t wait to dive into this one!
In a movie filmed in London, Howard plays the character of an improv instructor and rising comic named Kat. As doubts creep in about whether she may have overlooked opportunities for success, a police officer disguised as a producer presents her with a once-in-a-lifetime role.
Task assigned to Kat, together with her trainees Marlon (Bloom) and Hugh (Mohammed): they must blend into London’s criminal underworld posing as notorious felons. Yet, it becomes clear that they’ve bitten off more than they can chew.
As a gaming enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that Amazon Studios has unveiled two fresh snapshots from the upcoming movie, set to drop on June 12th. These images provide an exclusive sneak peek into the action-packed scenes, where Kat, Marlon, and Hugh can be seen marching through the bustling streets of London, their faces radiating determination.
In the second image, you’ll find the group huddled near a billiard table piled high with money, engaging in conversation with an individual who appears to be a potential crime boss, portrayed by Paddy Considine from the show “House of the Dragon.
Additionally featured are Sean Bean from “Game of Thrones”, Ian McShane known for his role in “John Wick”, and Sonoya Mizuno, who appeared in “Civil War”.
In a conversation with Empire, one of the writers for ‘Deep Cover’, Alexander Owen, provided additional insights into the main characters in the movie.
In Nick’s case, the audience can easily relate, as he serves as our entry point. He’s an individual who faces challenges at work, often disregarded and struggling to form connections. His improv classes become his refuge, where he strives to build self-assurance and interpersonal skills.
In Orlando’s case, he employs an extremely focused acting style that incorporates improvisation for creating characters and maintaining his skills.
As a gamer in this virtual world, I find myself in the role of an instructor for the improvisation class. The diverse trio of characters in my class each bring unique styles, varying degrees of experience, and distinct priorities to the table.
Deep Cover will be available to stream on Prime Video from June 12.
