We’re getting our first preview of The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event, which is expected to be a major release in 2028. While the films aren’t out for over two years, fans can now get a glimpse of the iconic band.
Sam Mendes is directing a series of films about the life and career of the famous music group, all scheduled to be released at the same time in April 2028.
Now that the main actors have been set – Harris Dickinson as John Lennon, Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney, Joseph Quinn as George Harrison, and Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr – Sony Pictures has released the first images of them in their roles.

One user enthusiastically predicted the upcoming Beatles biopics would be amazing, praising the ambitious plan to film four separate movies about each member at the same time. Another fan excitedly pointed out the films feature a cast of incredibly popular actors.

Barry Keoghan, known for his roles in films like Saltburn and The Banshees of Inisherin, has undergone a striking physical change as he gets ready to portray a famous drummer. He was seen earlier this week with a dramatically new haircut.
When the exciting new project was announced in February 2024, Mendes shared (through Sony Pictures) that he felt honored to tell the story of what he called the greatest rock band ever, and he’s looking forward to redefining the moviegoing experience.

The film also stars Saoirse Ronan as Linda McCartney, Mia McKenna-Bruce as Maureen Starkey, and James Norton as Brian Epstein, joining the previously announced cast.
Last month, David Morrissey joined the cast as Jim McCartney. Anna Sawai will play Yoko Ono, Aimee Lou Wood will portray Pattie Boyd, and Harry Lloyd will take on the role of famous producer George Martin.
