First look at Nicole Kidman’s latest Netflix blockbuster from the makers of Shrek and Toy Story
As a devoted animation enthusiast with a soft spot for magical tales, let me share my exhilaration over Netflix’s upcoming masterpiece, Spellbound! With a stellar cast including the enchanting Rachel Zegler and the captivating Javier Bardem, this film promises to weave a spellbinding story that will undoubtedly leave audiences spellbound (pun intended).
Netflix recently released a sneak peek at its upcoming enchanting animated hit, titled Spellbound.
The enchanting fantasy comedy musical featuring Nicole Kidman and Javier Bardem’s voices will make its debut on a popular streaming platform on November 22.
As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that this captivating movie was brought to life by the same gifted filmmakers responsible for timeless family favorites such as Toy Story, Cars, A Bug’s Life, and Shrek. Notably, it also boasts the talented Rachel Zegler, who stole our hearts in West Side Story.
And just like those classics, Spellbound promises to be a life riot for the whole family.
In a fantastical realm called Lumbria, I delve into an enchanting tale that revolves around me, a teenage royalty named Ellian. Known for my voice by the talented Rachel Zegler, our journey through this magical world unfolds as we navigate its mysteries and challenges together.
Following the transformation of her parents, Queen Ellsmere (spoken by Nicole Kidman) and King Solon (spoken by Javier Bardem), into monstrous creatures due to a magical curse, it falls upon Ellian to discover a means to rescue them and prevent their kingdom from impending destruction.
In the initial sneak peek, it’s clear that viewers have much excitement ahead, as Ellian embarks on a journey filled with laughter.
The teaser starts off with the young princess explaining to two elders in the royal palace that she is ‘having a problem’ with her parents.
She then explains: ‘They went into the Dark Forest and when they came back they were different..’
In a peculiar twist of events, after I’d warned about the possibility of our sovereigns transforming into colossal beings, I was met with skepticism. As the once-regal figures began their rampage, an elder approached me, shaking his head and said, “I thought your warnings were mere exaggerations.”
‘Why would I do that?, replies Ellian. ‘Because you’re a teenager,’ he says.
Other spectacular scenes feature the King and Queen being rounded up by the army and captured.
Meanwhile, Ellian engineers an escape for her parents.
Collectively embarking on a journey through the realm, the family sets out on a quest to shatter the enchantment, enabling the King and Queen to revert back to their human selves.
Additionally, we have John Lithgow from “The Crown,” Nathan Lane from “The Gilded Age,” Jenifer Lewis known for her work in “Rugrats,” and Titus Burgess, a star on the show “Central Park.”
The movie “Spellbound” is helmed by Vicky Jenson, who also worked on Shrek, and is produced by John Lasseter, known for creating the beloved animated film Toy Story from 1995.
Co-producers include David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Bruce Anderson.
Rachel Zegler, 23, is set to star in Disney’s ‘woke’ Snow White remake.
The novice faced harsh online critiques and hatred following her casting in the remake, which then prompted her to criticize the original movie in media interviews.
In several recent interviews, the young actress openly expressed her dislike for Disney’s original 1937 classic and its questionable prince character, whom she found disturbing. This controversial stance has ignited debate on social media platforms. The unusual plotline associated with this prince will not be carried over to the upcoming movie.
She has also said that her film would be going in a new direction, stating: ‘She’s not going to be saved by the prince and she’s not going to be dreaming about true love.’
Zegler has faced criticism from all directions, being accused of promoting ‘progressive’ ideologies while also being deemed as insincere in her support for women’s rights.
Additionally, she faced criticism from detractors for portraying Snow White as a Latina. However, both she and Disney countered this negative reaction by justifying their choice in the casting.
An actress hailing from New Jersey, who is an American national, appeared in “The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes” and the comedic disaster film titled “Y2K”.
