First look at Netflix’s new “thrill ride” New York–set drama with starry leads
In the upcoming Netflix limited series titled “Black Rabbit,” slated for release in September, you’ll find Jude Law and Jason Bateman portraying siblings.
Originating from Zach Baylin and unveiled in 2022, the mini-series set in New York City finds Jake (Law) and Vince Friedkin (Bateman) reconnecting under situations that could potentially disrupt their business dealings.
Zach Baylin created and announced in 2022 a mini-series situated in New York City, where Jake (Law) and Vince Friedkin (Bateman) are drawn back together by circumstances that may jeopardize their business operations.
In the heart of New York City, I’m proud to call “The Black Rabbit,” my prestigious eatery, my own. With whispers of it being the city’s next buzzing hotspot, life at The Black Rabbit was humming along smoothly until Vince, who I hadn’t seen in ages, showed up out of the blue. And with him came a wave of unforeseen complications that have sent our tranquil world into turmoil.

Black Rabbit” explores the complex bond between two siblings, revealing that their reunion may stir up long-buried hurts.
Law shared with Tudum that this world is remarkably captivating, as he, Bateman, Baylin, and Susman are all involved in its creation.
Fundamentally, I aspire that the intricate, affectionate yet tumultuous bond between these two siblings will captivate you all.
Bateman, who made his directorial debut with the initial two episodes, highlighted the distinct traits between Jake and Vince.
The story revolves around two siblings with a strong bond, yet they are polar opposites – one is somewhat careless, while the other is very organized.
Most people find this situation familiar: they either have a sibling or a friend with whom they share an intense bond, one that might sometimes lead to mischief. This individual often lands you in tricky situations, yet their company is electrifying.
It appears that Vince could cause problems for the refined Jake, and recently-released images from Netflix suggest this might be the case. One of these images shows them both dashing through New York City with Vince clutching a bag, which could potentially hold cash.
Completing the ensemble are Cleopatra Coleman, known from “Bodies”, Amaka Okafor from “Slow Horses”, Sopẹ́ Dìrísù who appeared in “The Gilded Age” and “Succession”, Morgan Spector of “The Gilded Age” and Dagmara Dominczyk from “Succession”, as well as Troy Kotsur, star of “CODA”.
The character known as “Black Rabbit” has arranged a backstage get-together for Jason Bateman from the hit show “Ozark”. Remarkably, Laura Linney, who portrayed Wendy on the critically acclaimed crime drama, is set to make her Netflix comeback by directing episodes three and four of an upcoming series.
Black Rabbit starts streaming on Netflix on 18 September.
