As a gamer with a knack for suspenseful narratives and a soft spot for dark comedies, I must say that the latest developments in the world of cinema have me all worked up! The first glimpse of Josh Gad and Kaya Scodelario‘s new movie, Adulthood, has left me on the edge of my seat. Finding a dead body in one’s own home is something I’d rather not experience in real life, but it sure makes for an intriguing plot twist!
A first look has been released for Josh Gad and Kaya Scodelario’s new movie Adulthood.
In maturity, Megan and Noah, portraying siblings, experience a startling shift in their lives when they stumble upon a deceased individual within their parents’ underground storage area.
In the initial scene of the movie, a chilling image emerges where a person who appears to be deceased lies at the focus, with Megan and Noah standing nearby, enshrouding the body in a sheet of blue plastic.

After discovering the corpse, the narrative reveals that the siblings are compelled to return to their childhood home, where they had fled, only to find themselves entangled in a maze of crime and homicide, as suggested by “Adulthood.
As a dedicated admirer, I’d like to share that this captivating tale was masterfully crafted by Michael M.B. Galvin, the author behind the novel that serves as the film’s foundation. Interestingly, Alex Winter, famously known for his role as ‘Bill’ in “Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure,” has taken the director’s chair for this project.
Deadline reports that Republic Pictures has picked up the US and Canadian rights to Adulthood.
This film titled “Adulthood” was previously shot in Ottawa this year. Apart from the director Winter, it features actors like Billie Lourd, who gained recognition in “Booksmart”, and Anthony Carrigan known for his role in “Barry”.
After achieving triumph in Guy Ritchie’s movie “The Gentlemen,” Scodelario has just been signed for an upcoming Netflix thriller titled “The Woman in Cabin 10.” This project is adapted from Ruth Ware’s popular novel bearing the same name.

Saoirse Ronan signs up alongside Keira Knightley for the film adaptation, focusing on a reporter who encounters an astonishing incident during a voyage on a lavish ocean liner.
The summary goes like this: In the movie, a journalist observes a person being tossed overboard from a lavish yacht during the night. However, she finds out that no one on board, neither passengers nor crew, was missing according to the official record.
“Despite no one believing her, she continues to look for answers, putting her own life in danger.”
Adulthood does not yet have a release date.
