2025 can’t come soon enough! As a die-hard fan, I’ve been eagerly awaiting news about the filming of the next installment of my favorite Netflix series. And guess what? The wait is almost over as they’ve started shooting! To get us even more excited, they’ve dropped a sneak peek behind the scenes. Can’t wait to see how it all unfolds when the season premieres in 2025!
In the video, Ortega is captured with scenes from the set, one of them showing her holding a knife while saying, “Let’s pretend to play with dolls.
Catherine Zeta-Jones, playing Morticia Addams, hints that this upcoming season will surpass all expectations in size and complexity, as she shares these insights accompanied by a series of behind-the-scenes footage.
On Wednesdays according to Ortega, they might say, “Any further would make your eyes ache, but I’m not one for over-sharing.
Apart from bringing back stars like Ortega, Zeta-Jones, and Emma Myers (Enid Sinclair), the second season of Wednesday will also introduce several new cast members: Billie Piper from Scoop, Joanna Lumley from Fool Me Once, Steve Buscemi from Boardwalk Empire, and Thandiwe Newton from Westworld.
Originally mentioned were Christopher Lloyd, known for his role in the Addams Family, along with Haley Joel Osment from The Kominsky Method, Noah Taylor who has worked on Law & Order, Evie Templeton from Return to Silent Hill, Owen Painter of The Handmaid’s Tale, Heather Matarazzo from Scream, and Joonas Suotamo who is recognized for his work in Star Wars.
Previously, Ortega expressed her fear about rejoining the series for its second season, given that such a long time had passed since filming of the first season.
She shared that she felt quite nervous because it had been several years since last Wednesday, since they filmed the initial one. They made that production around two or three years back in Romania. [Spoken to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon]

Wednesday streams on Netflix. Season 2 is in production.
