First look at Heartstopper and Doctor Who star Yasmin Finney’s British thriller

A first look at Heartstopper star Yasmin Finney’s new British thriller Lifehack has been unveiled.

In simple terms, this upcoming movie revolves around four lazy teens planning a massive Bitcoin robbery from their homes, which leads them down a treacherous path through the deep web, encountering perils that extend beyond their computer monitors.

A sneak peek photograph, originally published by Lifehack, has just been unveiled by the South by Southwest Film Festival (SXSW). This is the same festival where the movie is scheduled to debut in March.

The scene displays the quartet of teenagers – portrayed by Finney, Georgie Farmer, Roman Hayeck-Green, and James Scholz – engaged in a group video conversation, strategizing about the audacious heist that will make history.

In addition, we have actors such as Jessica Reynolds from the show “Outlander” and Charlie Creed-Miles known for his role in “Silent Witness.

Lifehack is directed by Ronan Corrigan, who also wrote the script alongside Hope Elliott Kemp.

In the popular Netflix teen series Heartstopper, Finney plays the character Elle Argent, and the third season was launched in October. This show has made Finney well-known for her role.

Although Netflix hasn’t announced a fourth season as of now, Heartstopper creator Alice Oseman hinted in an interview with Tudum that there are still stories waiting to be shared.

They expressed that there’s certainly more narrative in the books that remains untold, and they are eager to share the conclusion of the story on television.

In addition, Finney first appeared on “Doctor Who” during its 60th anniversary special episodes, portraying the character who is the daughter of Catherine Tate’s Donna Noble.

Following the broadcast of the episodes, Russell T Davies, the showrunner and executive producer of Doctor Who, announced that Rose Tyler (Finney’s character) would reappear on screen at some point in the future.

In his statement made in December 2023, he expressed that she is fantastic and there will be more opportunities for her to appear, as he enjoys collaborating with her immensely.

Lifehack premieres at SXSW in March.
