First look at Call the Midwife star’s new British movie

As a seasoned gamer with a penchant for both historical dramas and unconventional narratives, the upcoming film “Think of England” has piqued my interest significantly. The intriguing premise, the star-studded cast, and the unique setting promise an engaging cinematic experience that I can’t help but eagerly anticipate.

Here are the initial snapshots from Natalie Quarry’s recently wrapped up British film, where she stars in “Call the Midwife.” The movie is all set to release soon.

Under the guidance of director Richard Hawkins, the film titled “Think of England” unfolds, taking place during the period leading up to the Allied invasion of France. In this critical moment, not one, but two distinct British film productions are initiated, each offering a unique perspective.

1 Option: Laurence Olivier’s grand adaptation of William Shakespeare’s “Henry V” versus an adult film meant to boost soldiers’ spirits on the battlefield.

On a secluded Orkney island, a retired film actor, a German filmmaker, a hopeful actress, a captain from Eton, a troubled hairstylist and makeup artist with a drinking problem, and an unsuspecting young man all convene to execute their clandestine (and passionate) plan.

As a devoted admirer, let me share that I’m captivated by the cast of “Think of England,” which includes Quarry, alongside the talented Jack Bandeira, John McCrea, Ronni Ancona, Ben Bela Böhm, Ollie Maddigan, and Oscar Hoppe. This remarkable production is a creation of Nick O’Hagan and Poppy O’Hagan from Giant Films.

As a gamer, I’ve just wrapped up filming for my latest satirical drama. The main shoot happened at Shinfield Studios in Reading, and on location at beautiful Anglesey. It feels great to have completed this exciting journey!

Regardless of the challenges faced during independent filmmaking, Poppy O’Hagan emphasized that it’s always important to remember the honor and privilege involved in sharing distinctive tales with the world.

Hawkins exclaimed: “Thrilled to have wrapped up main filming on ‘Think of England‘. It involves seven captivating stories, four cinematographic styles, three distinct mediums, two varying aspect ratios, and one complete movie! Everything is now in the bag!

In the latest season, Quarry first appeared on “Call the Midwife” as one of the newly introduced midwives named Rosalind Clifford.

This holiday season, I’m thrilled to tell you that my favorite BBC show is back with a festive special! And guess what? We’ll get to see more of it starting from next year when series 14 premieres. The cameras rolled again for the upcoming series just earlier this month. Can’t wait!

Think of England does not yet have a release date.
