As an ardent admirer, I can hardly contain my excitement! After a surprising eight-year hiatus from the silver screen, the legendary Daniel Day-Lewis, widely acknowledged as our most exceptional living actor, has graced us with his return. At 68 years old, this masterful performer has consistently delivered remarkable performances that have earned him three Oscars, four BAFTAs, and two Golden Globe awards. Now, he’s back in action, taking on the lead role in his first film since “Phantom Thread” in 2017. This news alone is enough to make my heart race with anticipation!
Not only has he made a comeback, but he’s also starring in a movie directed by his son, Ronan Day-Lewis. Together, they penned the script, which has been largely secretive. What we do know is that it’s labeled as an engrossing family drama delving into the intricate and profound relationships between brothers, fathers, and sons. Apart from Day-Lewis, Sean Bean (who often goes unrecognized), Samantha Morton, Samuel Bottomley, and Safia Oakley-Green will also be seen on screen. I’m already excited!
The movie titled ‘Anemone’ will hit theaters on October 3rd. You can watch the trailer here and let me know whether you plan to catch it in the cinema or not.
