First fired Apprentice candidate shares heartbreaking reaction to exit
The Apprentice spoilers follow.
In a poignant post, contestant Emma Rothwell from “The Apprentice” has expressed her emotional response following her dismissal during the latest broadcast.
Last night, the latest batch of contestants appeared on the BBC One program, as it resumed broadcasting. In this particular episode, Lord Alan Sugar tasked them with journeying to Austria, where they had to both promote and manage Alpine tour packages.
In the nineteenth season, Emma was let go as the initial candidate dismissed, following her placement on the unsuccessful team and allegations about questionable sales strategies in a meeting with the board.
Speaking about her departure, Emma expressed to Metro that she feels she’s disappointed not just herself, but everyone else as well.
She expressed, “I’ve disappointed myself, and I’ve also let others down. I realize now that I had the potential to do better and should have worked harder to secure my position.
The online gift shop proprietor emphasized: “What I truly aimed to demonstrate is that one can run a business while remaining kind and cordial, without resorting to conflict or rudeness.
I aimed to showcase ordinary individuals like us who ventured into entrepreneurship, but unfortunately, the opportunity never arose.
Emma further mentioned that she felt she was often viewed as reserved, but clarified, “In reality, I was quite energetic. In fact, there’s a scene where I’m using a megaphone to promote our tours.
They manipulated a segment featuring Carlos making remarks about my lack of energy and such, and I responded with a dismissive, “That’s just nonsense.
Contrary to what might be assumed, I’m far from a wallflower. My pals will find it utterly amusing that someone as vocal as myself got let go for supposedly being too quiet.
Although she mentioned that her edit didn’t accurately reflect her true self, Emma pointed out that the producers are there to produce a television show, and she was content with exiting as a hero, rather than appearing foolish.
The Apprentice airs on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
