First CBB Eviction Drama: Mickey Rourke Faces Vote After Shocking Homophobic Slur Against JoJo
In this Friday’s live broadcast of Celebrity Big Brother, it’ll be Mickey Rourke, Michael Fabricant, and Jack P Shepherd who will initially encounter a public vote for potential eviction.
In last night’s broadcast, I was thrilled to learn that fellow housemate Jack, aged 37, and distinguished ex-politician Michael, at 74 years old, garnered the highest number of nominations from our housemates.
Eight individuals – Angellica Bell, Chesney Hawkes, Danny Beard, Donna Preston, Ella Rae Wise, JoJo Siwa, Patsy Palmer, and Trisha Goddard – each nominated Jack for something.
Simultaneously, Michael got nominated by Angellica, Chris Hughes, Daley Thompson, JoJo, Mickey, Patsy, and Trisha.
Mickey had previously received a killer nomination from JoJo.
Previously, Chris was immune from the launch night challenge, while Daley received immunity directly from Mickey. As a result, neither of them could be nominated for elimination this week by their fellow housemates.

This week’s eviction voting begins at 10pm, only on the Big Brother app. You’ll be asked to cast your vote for the housemate you want to keep safe from eviction.
Friday night will see the first eviction from the Celebrity Big Brother house.
In simpler terms, Mickey’s actions have consistently disrupted the atmosphere within the Celebrity Big Brother house. Recently, he violated another rule by making offensive, homophobic remarks towards JoJo, which sparked a significant controversy.
On Wednesday, viewers of the ITV program called for Mickey, aged 72, to be expelled from the residence due to his offensive comments towards lesbian dancer JoJo, 21. He referred to her as a derogatory term and subsequently insulted other female housemates in what was deemed a misogynistic rant.
Currently, Mickey’s actions have sparked potential discord among his fellow residents, as he has chosen not to propose nominees for the initial elimination process, which goes against the established rules.
During the broadcast on Thursday, each housemate was summoned separately to the Diary Room, where they made their initial nominations for the upcoming live eviction on Friday.
Despite Mickey, who had received a ‘fatal nomination’ from JoJo and now awaits the public verdict, choosing not to disclose the identities of the two housemates he intended to nominate.
Addressing Big Brother directly, he firmly stated: “I won’t be removing anyone. I absolutely refuse to do so. Instead, I won’t be selecting any individuals to dismiss from here.
Previously, Big Brother convened all housemates to disclose that it was time for their nominations, while also revealing the effects of the ‘power-granting games’ they received during the initial broadcast.

It became clear that Chris and Daley were exempt from the initial elimination round, whereas Mickey was undoubtedly up for it.
Mickey asked if he should start packing, and Big Brother replied, “Take it easy, Mickey, don’t move from your spot.
The regulatory body, Ofcom, is facing calls for action following the ITV program, as Mickey received an official reprimand from Big Brother.
Spectators argued that the producers should have taken stronger action, such as evicting him from the house, and urged Ofcom to intervene promptly.
When Ofcom gets a complaint, it’s evaluated according to the Broadcasting Code to determine if a more thorough examination is required.
On Twitter, fans expressed their outrage: ‘A complaint has been filed to Ofcom. Mickey Rourke should not be part of that reality show. Jokes about violence against women and girls are unacceptable, and those who think they can change homosexual women through rape are outdated and should have no place in today’s society. #CBBUK’
Apologies, but it seems the caution given wasn’t sufficient. Using terms like “he’ll tie her up” to a 21-year-old, implying it changes her sexual orientation, and employing such derogatory language is appalling. He needs immediate removal from the show. #CBBUK #CBB #UnacceptableLanguage
This is utterly unacceptable! Can’t we stop perpetuating this harmful behavior and instead, label it for what it is, rather than a ‘social experiment.’ It’s particularly detrimental to women and girls. Therefore, yes, he should be taken off the show. By not removing him, we’re essentially condoning his comments as if they’re acceptable.

‘Others speculate: “What do you think the number of OFCOM complaints will be after tonight’s episode. Mickey is out! #CBBUC #CBBLL #CBBLive”. Translated, this means: “OFCOM is preparing for tonight because they know what to expect #CBBUK.
For complaints regarding Mickey Rourke on Celebrity Big Brother, please press 1. If you have any other complaints, press 2 (as they mainly handle non-CBB related issues). #CBBUK
1. “Without a shadow of a doubt, Ofcom will receive complaints about tonight’s episode of Big Brother UK.”
2. “Mickey Rourke has kept Ofcom on their toes since Friday! #CBBUK”
3. “I can sense the incoming Ofcom complaints from here. #CBBUK”
4. “It seems like ITVX and bbuk are out of budget, as channel 4 used to kick people out for less. He even used a slur. @Ofcom, take action! #CBBUK”
Meanwhile, JoJo’s partner Kath Ebbs branded Mickey a ‘pig’ and a ‘dangerous person’.
