Season 3 of Street Fighter 6 introduces C. Viper, a powerful new character! She’s best suited for players who like to play fast and aggressively, but mastering her takes a lot of practice and skill.

Crimson Viper is a standout character from the Year 3 Character Pass. She’s visually striking and plays with a fast-paced, aggressive style. With so many great DLC characters in Street Fighter 6 Season 3, Viper really manages to shine.

The Spy returns: C. Viper’s Release Date in Street Fighter 6

C. Viper is available in Street Fighter 6 starting from Oct. 15.

Crimson Viper first appeared in Street Fighter IV and is popular among fighting game fans. She’s a U.S. government spy whose mission is to infiltrate S.I.N. and collect intelligence on Shadaloo’s weapon development.

Crimson Viper’s employers are definitely villains, but she’s actually working for the good side. She can be quick to anger, but ultimately she’s a force for good.

C. Viper gameplay breakdown: Fire and lightning of rushdown pressure

At Tokyo Game Show 2025, Capcom showcased gameplay footage of Crimson Viper. The trailer featured C. Viper in action against several opponents, demonstrating how she plays.

C. Viper remains a complex, technically demanding character in Street Fighter 6, just as she was in Street Fighter IV. She excels at using deceptive maneuvers and attacks that require very precise timing.

  • Feints will let you cancel Special animations to fake actions, provoke mistakes from your opponent, and punish them with a different move.
  • Combos of C. Viper require tight timing with complex sequences. You need to go an extra mile in practice to reach the technical perfection needed for the character.

C. Viper’s Drive Gauge adds a layer of complexity, as she spends Drive energy to perform certain moves. Her High Jump, for instance, consumes Drive energy but is a valuable tool for extending combos, closing the gap with opponents, and initiating Viper’s powerful close-range attacks. You can use it effectively after performing feints.

  • C. Viper is overwhelming with her aggressiveness. She benefits from the “right in your face” style, adding the level of impossible mixups thanks to feinting Specials.

C. Viper’s key moveset

The gameplay trailer showcases C. Viper’s signature moves. Visually, her attacks are a striking blend of electricity and fire.

  • Seismic Hammer: The shockwave goes on the ground and launches opponents on hit — for a combo continuation with Super Jump and Burning Kick.
  • Thunder Knuckle: This quick lightning punch goes under projectiles. It has an overhead follow-up. The Heavy version is an anti-air.
  • Burning Kick: Crimson Viper jumps and becomes throw-invincible. She can move forward with this move or float over the opponent to avoid some anti-airs. Burning Kick is safe on block and has two follow-ups: a forward dash to continue pressure or a plus on block kick to go for mixups.
  • Focus Force: The new signature move creates a protective barrier to absorb a hit with armor and then launch a counterattack.
  • Limit Decoupler: In addition to basic damage, Level 1 Super has a special install. It lets C. Viper use Super Jump and Special follow-ups without spending Drive meter and thus significantly extend offense.

As the release date approaches, Capcom should share the official character guide for C. Viper, which will provide even more in-depth information.

With dedicated training, C. Viper is now competing at a professional level. She has a chance to qualify for Capcom Cup 12, taking place March 11th through 15th.
