Final Fantasy Series Surpasses 200 Million Copies Sold as Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster Sells Over 5 Million
Square Enix recently revealed that the global sales of the iconic Final Fantasy series have surpassed the 200-million mark. The success has been bolstered by the sale of over 5 million units of the Final Fantasy I-VI Pixel Remaster, contributing significantly to this impressive milestone.
According to a recent post from the official Final Fantasy social media account, the Pixel Remaster series has reached over 5 million sales globally, and the entire Final Fantasy series has surpassed an incredible 200 million copies sold worldwide! They express their gratitude for your support, regardless of where your journey with them began.
It’s clear that the launch of “Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster” on Xbox in September 2024 was a step forward, and it’s possible we’ll witness more Square Enix games appearing on Xbox as part of their recently declared expanded multiplatform strategy, which they announced last May. However, it’s important to note that neither “Final Fantasy XVI” nor the “Final Fantasy VII Remake” have been confirmed for Xbox yet.
