Final Destination Bloodlines Sets Box Office Record with $45M Opening Weekend
The freshly released movie titled “Final Destination Bloodlines” is proving to be a tough competitor for another horror flick at the box office. According to reports, “Bloodlines” is projected to rake in approximately $45 million during its opening weekend, which is only slightly below the $48 million that Ryan Coogler’s vampire horror film, “Sinners,” made in its debut weekend.
In cinemas, distributed by Warner Bros., Bloodlines has shattered records for the highest-grossing debut day in the Final Destination series, raking in an impressive $21 million on its first day. There’s a glimmer of possibility that Bloodlines might amass up to $50 million this weekend, but only time will tell.
Over the weekend, Warner Bros.’ film is projected to bring in an additional $15 million, building upon its $4.4 million earned on Friday. So far, the movie known as “Sinners” has grossed nearly $300 million globally, with $225.3 million of that coming from domestic ticket sales, according to Box Office Mojo.

Horror Icon Tony Todd Appears in Bloodlines in His Final Role
In a moving turn of events, Tony Todd, famed for his chilling roles in numerous horror films such as [insert titles] and the Star Trek series, makes a posthumous appearance in Bloodlines, reprising a role he had previously played. At the age of 69, following a prolonged illness, this role in Bloodlines was Todd’s final screen performance. The film’s producer, Craig Perry, has shared his experiences working with Todd one last time before his passing.
Perry expressed, “It was evident that this would be his final acting gig in a movie.” He added, “Given it was one of the ‘Final Destination’ films, it made the situation even more poignant.” Todd played Bludworth, a character in the original ‘Final Destination’ film from 2000, who seemed to have some sort of mysterious connection with Death.
Perry discussed the heartfelt monologue delivered by Bludworth in the movie “Bloodlines“. He explained that Zach (Lipovsky) and Adam (Stein), the directors, chose to let Tony improvise the final lines, asking him to speak directly to the fans. “Tony was essentially talking to the camera, expressing words of gratitude to the supporters who had been with him for so long,” Perry said. He added that this scene was particularly emotional because it was genuine and heartfelt, with Tony genuinely addressing the very fans who had supported him for many years. This moment on set was both magical and impactful, an experience that Perry will cherish until the end of his days.
Final Destination Bloodlines is in movie theaters.
