Craig Perry, producer of Final Destination Bloodlines, discusses if the film’s closing credits hint at the next installment in the series. Released on May 16 in theaters, this sixth movie in the Final Destination series showcases another disaster and individuals who miraculously survived, unlike previous films where deaths were inevitable. Instead, all casualties were averted in this film, causing Death to target bloodlines that should not have existed over time. In one interpretation, it encompasses two aspects: Firstly, it was a thrilling experience, serving as a reminder that there’s an endless variety of events taking place simultaneously, making you ponder if fate or chance is at play. Secondly, since we’ve delved into the concept of a prequel in one of our other productions (I’ll leave fans to discover which one), Jon Watts’ approach – setting the story in the 60s and leaping forward over five decades – has opened up a wealth of creative possibilities for us. This newfound freedom allows us to traverse various time periods, making connections we wouldn’t have been able to make otherwise. Hopefully, this broader perspective on our narrative will provide us with opportunities in the future to create even more intriguing and innovative deaths that fans can appreciate.
