Listen closely, enthusiasts of “Final Destination”! In an electrifying development, the fate of the series has been officially confirmed.
After the acclaimed release of “Final Destination Bloodlines”, marking the sixth installment and the first one in fourteen years, it has been confirmed that a seventh movie is in production.
According to Variety, Lori Evans Taylor, who previously worked on Bloodlines, will write the script for this upcoming project.
At present, Gary Busick hasn’t been confirmed as a part of Final Destination 7, as she (the writer) previously co-wrote another movie with him.
In a return of roles, Craig Perry, Sheila Hanahan Taylor, Jon Watts, Dianne McGunigle, and Toby Emmerich will serve as producers once more. Additionally, Warren Zide will resume his position as executive producer.
Bloodlines” demonstrates that there is still a lot of potential for this franchise to continue.
The movie not only achieved the top Rotten Tomatoes score for the franchise, but it also broke records as the highest-earning film within the series.
The film earned more than $285 million, significantly outperforming the second place movie, “The Final Destination,” with approximately $157 million in earnings.
The movie’s specific storyline isn’t revealed yet, but rest assured, it’ll feature numerous gruesome deaths, many attempts to stop them, though success is often elusive.
In the seventh movie, or any subsequent installment, it’s not likely that we will find a clear answer about the origin and reasons behind individuals experiencing premonitions.
As a fellow gaming enthusiast, I’d put it this way: “If we explain the ‘how’, you as a player might miss out on that unique experience. It’s like revealing the magic behind Star Wars’ The Force in The Phantom Menace – once you know how it works, part of the mystery is gone.
