The reboot of “I Know What You Did Last Summer” is being labeled as a sequel that continues the storyline from the original films, “I Know What You Did Last Summer” (1997) and its follow-up “I Still Know What You Did Last Summer” (1998). The franchise also includes the standalone sequel “I’ll Always Know What You Did Last Summer” (2006), as well as a short-lived television series adaptation of the same name in 2021.

Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, famously recognized for her work on Netflix films like “Someone Great” and “Do Revenge”, will take the helm as director for the upcoming reboot. The screenplay for this project is a joint effort between Robinson and Sam Lanksy. At present, details about the plot remain under wraps.
