Fifth Harmony stirred up social media on Sunday with their first post in seven years, causing a buzz among fans.
The musical quartet made up of Ally Brooke (age 32), Normani (age 29), Lauren Jauregui (age 29), and Dinah Jane (age 28) – who continued as a group following Camila Cabello’s (age 28) surprising departure in 2016 – shared an unexpected announcement with their 4.2 million followers.
Under the title ‘#FifthHarmonyReturns’, this post signaled an unanticipated comeback on the platform, seven years since they posted to wish Ally a happy birthday in July 2018.
Fans of the group, known as Harmonizers, rapidly swarmed the comment section to share their enthusiasm, hinting at a possible reunion in the near future.
‘Wait… this is the first twee since 2018. Something is happening,’ one person surmised.
Another demanded, ‘I need new music from you ladies! I’m ready!’

‘The Fifth Harmony love train never stops,’ another zealous follower added to the thread.
And one fan was clearly overwhelmed, posting, ‘Don’t do this to meeee,’ with a shocked emoji.
‘I don’t understand what’s happening… but I think I like it,’ said one social media user.
As a devoted Harmonizer enthusiast, I found myself eagerly questioning, “Will you be returning with the original group or introducing fresh faces?
Another enthusiastically asked, ‘WAITTTT ARE Y’ALL REUNITING LIKE FR? IT WASNT JUST A RUMOR?’
The group was formed on season two of X Factor USA in 2012.
And the pop music collective announced an indefinite hiatus six years later in 2018.
Two years following Camila’s departure to launch her solo venture, it was left to the remaining ladies to make the understated announcement about the situation.
In mid-December 2016, it was announced through her representatives that after nearly five years as a group, Camila had chosen to depart from Fifth Harmony. We hope only the best for her.

In March 2024, a source told Page Six that the group would like to get back together.
The idea of their reunion started gaining traction following the resurgence of their old hits on TikTok.
2023 saw speculation about Fifth Harmony potentially reuniting, sparked by Ally’s announcement that she, along with Normani, Lauren, and Dinah, had obtained the rights to Fifth Harmony’s trademark.
Camila was not involved at the time, per the outlet.
After speaking with X later on, Ally made it clear that there’s no current formal band reunion. However, she pointed out that some heartwarming friendships and connections are gradually coming back together in a healing and uplifting manner.
