FIFA Joins Forces With eFootball For FIFAe World Cup Tournament

The recent announcement of Konami and FIFA joining forces for esports tournaments has sent shockwaves through the gaming community, much like the time I accidentally shocked myself trying to plug in an old N64 controller.
This year, it’s been announced that Konami and FIFA are teaming up to hold two FIFAe World Cup esports competitions within the eFootball platform. This decision comes after EA and FIFA ended their partnership, with EA Sports FC taking over from the original FIFA series.
The FIFAe World Cup qualifiers kick off today, offering separate competitions for console and mobile gamers, with champions crowned on each platform. A total of 18 countries will compete in the finals, with their representatives being chosen based on factors like the size of their player base and the past achievements of their competitors.
