Festive friendly exes! Lindy Klim reunites with ex-husband and swimmer Michael Klim for early Christmas celebrations

Lindy Klim and her ex-husband, Michael Klim, have reunited for the festive season.

In Melbourne on Thursday, the ex-spouses, who parted ways in 2016 following a six-year marriage, reunited with their three children – Stella (age 18), Rocco (age 16), and Frankie (age 13).

45-year-old Lindy appeared extremely delighted when her former Olympic swimmer acquaintance stepped out of a car carrying suitcases.

As a lifestyle connoisseur, I’d say I sauntered outside effortlessly, clad in an oversized, soft grey T-shirt paired with cream shorts, my feet untethered by footwear, to greet the captivating presence of Michael.

47-year-old Michael, overjoyed to see the mother of his three kids, exchanged a cheerful cheek kiss and a heartwarming embrace with her, while they all chatted amicably on the sidewalk.

Michael opted for a relaxed look, donning a black T-shirt and pants, paired with a knee brace, which could be a result of his condition, an autoimmune disorder called Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy.

At the family gathering, Lindy’s seven-year-old child Goldie, whom she co-parents with her former husband Adam Ellis, was present as well.

It’s unclear if the exes will be spending Christmas Day together with their kids.

Lindy and Michael’s encounter happens following a painful split between Adam and her, an incident that Lindy discussed openly last month.

She and the British property developer have gone their separate ways after six years of marriage.

Rumors about their separation started circulating in October, after Lindy posted a photo without her wedding ring, and it’s been reported that they had ended their relationship for quite a while before then.

After several months of rumors, she eventually spoke out about the end of her marriage, disclosing that her former spouse has been struggling secretly with mental health issues. These struggles, in turn, had an impact on her personal health and wellness.

‘Adam and I have separated but we still love him,’ Lindy told Stellar magazine.

He’s a fantastic dad, not just for Goldie, but for all our kids too. However, over the past two years, he’s faced difficulties with his mental health that have also taken a toll on mine and my emotional stability.

‘Things really spiralled out of control. I’m not the person that Adam needs. I’m not a doctor. I mean, I’m there for support, obviously, but I was being dragged under by everything.’

Lindy said she was ‘living with constant anxiety’ and told the publication that her family eventually stepped in and raised their concerns about her health after she dramatically lost weight.

She had become extremely thin, yet it wasn’t until her trip to Australia that she truly understood the condition she was in, she concluded.

Since her split with Adam, Lindy has returned to Australia from Bali and posted pictures showing her settling into her new residence in Melbourne during October.

In her Instagram post, Lindy confessed that she is essentially beginning anew following her move to Melbourne, as this major shift calls for a fresh start.

Lindy too posted a picture of the initial meal she relished in her fresh residence, which she savored with her friends and loved ones.

‘Christening the new house with dirty take out,’ the image was captioned.

In October, whispers started about the separation of Lindy and Adam, as a photo surfaced showing her with their four kids, but there was no trace of her spouse present.

Following the upload of the photo on Instagram, sharp-eyed fans observed that Lindy appeared to be without her engagement ring as well.

An insider later claimed the pair have been well and truly over for some time.

‘They have also not been seen together for a number of months,’ an insider told Confidential.

‘Plus he isn’t in any of her social media photographs.’

Initially, it was Daily Mail Australia that shared information suggesting a possible separation between Lindy and Adam, following Lindy’s upload of a clue-filled family picture on her social media platform.

Currently, Lindy enjoys a friendly coparenting arrangement with Michael, her ex-husband, as they both raise their three shared children. She attributes much of her self-confidence to him, even though he is now in a relationship with Michelle Owen.

Following her divorce from Michael, Lindy married Ellis in a lavish Tuscan ceremony.

Renowned swimmer Michael called it quits on competitive swimming in the year 2007, and now manages a thriving swim school in Bali – a place he calls home alongside his partner Michelle.
