On Tuesday, a fierce blaze swept through the upscale neighborhood of Pacific Palisades, swiftly expanding to nearby suburbs as a windstorm scattered burning embers and debris everywhere.

People abandoned their houses, holding their breath in anticipation for updates, since rumors spread that whole neighborhoods had vanished, firefighters were running short on water, and resources were being shifted to combat fires on various battlefronts.

Actor James Woods, who received an Oscar nomination and had recently filmed a house near his residence being consumed by flames, hastily departed the Palisades with his family as a swift-spreading wildfire ravaged the area. It remains uncertain about the state of his own property following the evacuation.

Additionally, Woods stated that he, along with several nearby residents, are now without insurance following a major insurer’s alleged cancellation of numerous policies approximately four months prior.

Actor Mark Hamill, known for his role in Star Wars, was urgently evacuated from his Malibu residence last Tuesday evening. He described encountering small fires on either side of the road as he neared Pacific Coast Highway, and referred to the blaze as one of the most terrifying since 1993.

66-year-old actor Steve Guttenberg, known for his role in Police Academy, swiftly took action when a fire broke out in the neighborhood of Palisades. He chose to help firefighters clear the path by moving cars aside to allow easier access for approaching fire engines.

Eugene Levy, affectionately known as the honorary mayor of Pacific Palisades, admitted he found himself stuck in traffic caused by residents leaving the area.

However, even those who managed to reach safety are now fervently hoping for a miraculous outcome, among them being the Formula One heiress Petra Ecclestone and her husband Sam Palmer, along with their family.
