Oh my stars, Felicity Jones! As a die-hard fan who has followed her career since the days of “The Theory of Everything,” I must say that she continues to captivate me with every role she takes on. Her recent appearance at the London screening for “The Brutalist” was nothing short of breathtaking, especially when you consider the profound depth and historical significance of this film.

On a stylish note, Felicity Jones gracefully captivated the crowd during a movie screening and question-and-answer session at Picturehouse Central in London on Sunday, for her latest production titled “The Brutalist.

Instead of the formal black blazer, the actress, aged 41, chose a stylish, roomy black jacket that fit loosely on her. She paired this with a straightforward pair of denim jeans.

In the historical drama, Felicity, who portrays Erzsébet Tóth, completed her outfit by adding a symbolic red poppy as a tribute for Remembrance Day.

At the movie event, the actress was accompanied by her fellow actors Adrien Brody, Brady Corbet, and Guy Pearce, as well as the director.

The Post-War Epic – A Holocaust Survivor’s Journey to Rebuild Life in America, tells the tale of an individual who survived the horrors of World War II and endeavors to forge a new existence on American soil.

Her appearance occurred following the impressive showing of her new movie at a gala screening during the Savannah Film Festival at the beginning of the month.

Felicity stunned in a strapless satin gown, which featured a matching belt and a ruffled bodice.

Felicity topped off her look with a pair of strappy gold heels and accessorised with some small hooped earrings.

At the event, she received the Spotlight Award following the movie screening.

In a more natural and easy-to-read manner, the movie titled “The Brutalist,” helmed by Brady Corbet, delves into an American post-war saga revolving around a Holocaust survivor striving to reconstruct their life in the United States.

Drawing inspiration from Jean-Louis Cohen’s book “Architecture in Uniform,” the movie features Adrien Brody portraying a Hungarian architect and Felicity as his on-screen spouse.

Over several decades, “The Brutalist” narrates the tale of László Tóth, a man striving to continue his artistic journey post-war in America.

Adrien takes on the role of Tóth. He struggles financially until affluent businessman Harrison Lee Van Buren (portrayed by Guy Pearce) offers him a significant contract. Alongside him, Joe and Alessandro Nivola are among the cast members.

The actor said it was a character and a story he felt an ‘immediate kinship and understanding for.’

Sylvia Plachy, his mother who is a renowned photographer, had to escape Hungary in 1956 due to the anti-Soviet uprising. She subsequently relocated with the aim of establishing herself as an artist and pursuing her creative aspirations.

Adrien stated: ‘Though this is a work of imagination, it feels incredibly authentic and genuine to me. This authenticity is crucial for me to fully inhabit a character and bring it to life.’

Director Brady Corbet stated, “Our movie explores the tangible consequences of the 20th century’s emotional turmoil. It is a tribute to the artists whose visions were never brought to fruition.

At the Venice Film Festival a month ago, he remarked: ‘This movie breaks all the rules we’re typically supposed to follow.’

‘I’ve read great novellas, I’ve read great multi-volume masterpieces,’ Corbet said.

‘Maybe the next thing I make will be about 45 minutes, and I should be allowed to do that. … As Harmony Korine once said, cinema is stuck in the birth canal. And I agree with him.’
