Feeling okay? The Golden Bachelor Barry ‘Bear’ Myrden seen wearing a blood pressure monitor as he gets his car fitted with some new wheels

Viewers of The Golden Bachelor noticed and are worried that Barry ‘Bear’ Myrden was spotted with a device to check his blood pressure.

Nine star was seen in Sydney on Thursday getting new wheels for his car, but it was a medical device he was wearing that really caught people’s attention.

The 61-year-old dressed casually for the occasion in a navy shirt and khaki shorts, completing the look with matching lace-up shoes.

Bear tried to blend in during the outing with sunglasses and was spotted enjoying a coffee to go.

I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw Bear at the auto parts store! He looked so calm and collected, but if you looked closely, you’d notice he was wearing a blood pressure cuff on his arm and had a monitor strapped to his chest. It was a bit of a shock to see, honestly.

Now that the show is on Nine, people are wondering if the Golden Bachelor is starting to feel stressed.

The new dating show premiered this week, and fans quickly tuned in to watch the first-ever Australian season on Monday.

However, just two episodes in, a lot of viewers have said the same thing about leading man Bear.

After the second episode of the Australian Golden Bachelor aired on Tuesday, viewers took to X, previously known as Twitter, to express their disappointment with the show’s lead, who many found to be reserved and distant.

‘Did Bear’s personality get lost in the post?’ one person wrote.

Another similarly added: ‘Is Bear’s personality in the room with us?’

I started watching #GoldenBachelorAU, and while the lead, Bear, is a bit boring, I’m really enjoying how wild some of the contestants are, one viewer said.

Someone else savagely penned: ‘The Golden Bachelor is more like the Golden Bore. Personality 0.’

Fans are concerned that Bear seems inactive, with one joking he might be ‘a bit dead’ and another wondering if he’s even awake.

One person wondered if the bear, nicknamed Bear, was drugged before the show, suggesting that’s why he seemed so unenergetic. They jokingly connected this to his actual name, Barry, implying it was equally unexciting.

This isn’t the first time viewers have criticized the Australian star of ‘The Golden Bachelor,’ and his nationality has become a topic of discussion online.

After the show premiered, many viewers rushed to social media to discuss the new series, which is hosted by Samantha Armytage and stars a Bachelor from Canada.

‘Why is the Australian Golden Bachelor NOT AUSTRALIAN?’ one person asked.

I’m sure he’s a wonderful person, but it’s strange to have a Canadian playing the Australian Golden Bachelor, isn’t it?

‘The accent… Could we not find an Aussie accent?’ a third chimed in.

Someone else commented sarcastically that the show’s creators apparently believe Australia lacks sophisticated and charming male actors.
