Fears for Tom Hanks as fans spot his trembling hands again during SNL appearance

As a devoted admirer of Tom Hanks for decades now, I’ve seen him grace our screens with his captivating performances since the early ’80s. From Forrest Gump to Cast Away, and everything in between, he has been a constant source of joy and inspiration. However, recently, I’ve noticed something that concerns me – Tom Hanks’ shaking hands.

On the latest episode of Saturday Night Live, airing over the weekend, it was Martin Short who played host while Tom Hanks made an appearance.

In this newest edition, 74-year-old Short made his fifth appearance as host of the comedy show, and alongside Tom, aged 68, there were appearances by Scarlett Johansson, Paul Rudd, and John Mulaney as special guests.

As a dedicated admirer, I couldn’t help but observe the subtle quiver in the hands of the legendary Forrest Gump during the Five-Timers Club segment on the show. It was a moment that truly captivated me and added an extra layer of excitement to the already thrilling experience.

A follower posted a comment below SNL’s Instagram promo, asking if they could see if Tom Hanks was waving or not.

A user named Lara joined the thread to add, ‘I also noticed it!!! And now I am concerned.’

‘He was on The Graham Norton show a while back and I noticed it there too…’ a third person said.

As for that individual, they thought, “Given his age is approaching 70, it’s not unusual for a slight tremor in the hands to occur.

It’s not the first time fans have expressed worry over the Hollywood leading man’s shaky hands.

In June 2022, there was noticeable trembling in his right hand as he held a microphone during his speech to endorse the film “Elvis,” directed by Baz Luhrmann.

Hanks attempted to steady the microphone by positioning his left hand at its base, underneath his right one. For a moment, he swapped hands as well.

Lisa Kudrow recently critiqued Tom’s new film Here, condemning the usage of digital de-aging.

The 61-year-old actress said the new fantasy drama film was an ‘endorsement for AI.’

In the film that premiered on October 25th, Tom Hanks worked alongside his Forrest Gump co-star Robin Wright once more, playing out a tale spanning multiple generations. This narrative showed the actors portraying their characters across various time periods.

It followed last year’s SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes calling for regulation of the modern technology.

In a recent episode of Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast, the actor from Friends criticized Hank and director Robert Zemeckis’ movie quite strongly.

She clarified on the podcast that after they filmed a particular scene, they could observe it later, seeing themselves appear younger in the footage, and it was all set for their viewing pleasure.

She contended that the conversation implied a strong support for AI, with a hint of astonishment. She wasn’t suggesting it would bring destruction, but rather raised the question of what would be left if AI became the norm. She mentioned actors and up-and-coming talent specifically, stating they might merely become licensing opportunities or repeated content, not active performers anymore.

Kudrow continued: ‘Set that completely aside, what work will there be for human beings? Then what?

So there’s a plan for a type of income that doesn’t require work? But how could it possibly cover all the necessary expenses?
