Fearne Cotton Admits ‘Wetting Herself’ While Running at 43

At 43 years old, Fearne Cotton shared insights into the authentic experience of working out, following her early-morning run on a recent Thursday.

The presenter acknowledged that her affection for running has remained constant, but she’s noticed that her body has adapted and changed with age.

On Instagram, the celebrity openly shared detailed accounts of her experiences, going so far as to admit an embarrassing moment when she accidentally urinated during a workout.

She wrote in the caption that her fondness for running has evolved significantly throughout the years.

‘I may not be as fast or able to control my pelvic floor but it still makes me feel great.’ 

Looking back at her past, Fearne shared that she used to be able to run a full 5 kilometers without much strain or difficulty in only half an hour.

Though others frequently pass her by, she prefers to pause occasionally to capture scenic vistas with her camera, all while grooving to the rhythm of Beastie Boys songs.

She went on saying, “The park was stunningly beautiful this morning, and I’m all set for a day of organizing the happyplaceofficial festival. Let’s get going!

Her post garnered numerous comments from admirers, as they applauded her for her candidness and transparency.

Soon after I faced a challenging period, I had a surgical procedure to take out two harmless growths on my jawline, coinciding with the difficult time I experienced in my marriage with Jesse Wood last year. This experience has been transformative for me.

A few days ago, Fearne seemed to be leading the way when she posted a collection of beautiful pictures enjoying cocktails with friends after parting ways with musician Jesse, who is 48 years old.

On her way back to work, the ex-BBC Radio DJ seemed cheerful, reflecting on her enjoyable holiday break over Christmas.

She titled her post: ‘Back at work for the first time after surgery. Ready as can be! Lots of tasks ahead. Here we go!’

On New Year’s Eve, I couldn’t help but be utterly captivated by the stunning image Fearne posted – she was radiating elegance in a shimmering sequined gown and holding a tantalizing cocktail as if it were a long-lost treasure!

She also spent time at the beach with her close friends and family after a tough few months.

In the whirlwind of December 2024, I underwent an operation that marked a significant turning point in my life. Merely days later, I found myself standing at a crossroads, as I prepared to share the unexpected news of my separation from my husband Jesse, after a decade together as man and wife.

She admitted she is ‘so grateful to be healing’ as she showed off the scar running down her ear.

She titled her post: “The human body is amazing! In just under three weeks, the area where I had the tumor taken out is hardly noticeable. I’m almost back to feeling normal. My ear still has some numbness and my face is a bit tender, but otherwise, I’m doing well.

‘Swipe through if you’re interested in viewing the progressive recovery phases. While not excessively gory, it’s safe to say it’s more intense than the initial picture. I found the entire healing process absolutely captivating and am incredibly thankful that the surgery turned out successful, with the tumor being benign.’

In a comforting manner, Professor Oflynn eased my anxieties greatly, while the entire nursing staff exhibited angelic kindness. Among them, Nurse Jackie stood out as exceptional, often reminding me to take breaks from my phone and rest. At times, I appreciated her firm guidance when it was needed.

I’m thankful for my swift recovery, and I’ll carry this scar with honor as a symbol of self-care and the importance of taking things slowly.

Prior to an upcoming operation, Fearne didn’t reveal any signs of her marital issues to her followers. Instead, she shared: “Hey everyone, I’ll be taking some time off due to surgery. I first felt a lump beneath my ear on my jawline quite some time ago, but it was only this year that I noticed it had grown.

It seems the growth is benign, along with a smaller one located near the saliva gland. I feel optimistic about the situation and plan to use this time for relaxation and a much-needed slowdown.

If you notice a lump, bump, or anything unusual about your body, don’t hesitate to get it examined. It brings me relief to share that I made this decision and I’m grateful for it because delaying such checks can make matters more intricate over time.

It’s incredibly strange how just a few months back, Davina shared with me about her tumor, and then I found out about mine, weeks later while calling her. I feel fortunate not only because she’s an outstanding friend but also a source of hope and optimism in these challenging circumstances.

‘Sending you all loads of love and I’ll see you soon.’

Later on, she reported an improvement: ‘The operation turned out splendidly. I’m recuperating now and taking it easy. Much appreciation for your thoughtful messages.’

Last year on Caroline Hirons’ podcast, Fearne finally opened up about their breakup, discussing the ‘unhealthy expectations placed upon women to achieve and balance everything.’

Amidst an overwhelming whirlwind of personal struggles – battling health issues, navigating a messy divorce, and juggling my business all at once – I couldn’t help but confess: The weight upon me feels colossal, as if the world rests on my shoulders.

She mentioned that there’s a significant expectation for women to demonstrate our capabilities in managing businesses, and she’s no exception with Happy Place. However, she admitted that the burden of proof can be overwhelmingly intense.

‘I can imagine you [Caroline] are like me, there are lots of things I’d like to do, lots of goals.

I aim to develop and broaden myself extensively, yet I wish to avoid feeling drained and overwhelmed, unable to fully engage at home with my family or enjoy quality time with friends, and have moments of relaxation and joy.

‘There is still that toxic sort of trope that women can have it all, that people believe.’

Fearne has an eleven-year-old son named Rex and an eight-year-old daughter called Honey, whom she shares with Jesse, who is 48 years old. Additionally, she takes on the role of stepmother to Arthur, aged 21, and Lola, aged 18, from Jesse’s previous marriage.

In the statement revealing the split, Fearne told fans their priority was their children.

With sadness, I share the news that Jesse and I have decided to part ways in our marriage. Above everything else, our love for our children remains unwavering and forever prioritized.

‘We please ask that you respect the privacy of our family at this time.’
